As a Community Safety Officer, you will act as an expert on anti-social behaviour (ASB), providing a high quality service and point of contact for customers. The position will involve providing a proactive ASB service which includes investigative, enforcement and preventative activities. 

A day in the life:

• Provide specialist advice, guidance and support in respect of ASB and in more complex case work.
• Work closely with stakeholders, both internal and external, in order to effectively work cases assigned to you.
• Work with victims and witnesses of ASB to get detailed and accurate statements for submission for potential legal action.
• Use your knowledge of legislation to identify and exercise appropriate legal powers to stop anti-social behaviour in cases referred to you.
• Take responsibility for service-related complaints or queries, and ensure they are communicated sufficiently to the correct team to ensure a successful outcome.

What you’ll be:

• Knowledgeable on all things ASB, including legislation and tools of powers.
• Able to confidently enforce breaches of Tenancy.
• Able to work with vulnerable people with empathy, emotional intelligence and professionalism.
• A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
• Experienced at writing and preparing witness statements and accompanying legal documentation.
• Able to prioritise and cope well under pressure to meet targets.
