An opportunity has arisen to join Burnley Council’s Building Control Service as a Support Officer. You will carry out an important function within the Council’s Building Control Team by providing comprehensive support to a small team of Registered Building Inspectors facilitating the delivery of a highly efficient and responsive service that promotes good customer care. You will be the first point of contact for a wide range of internal and external customers as well as providing general clerical, administrative and technical support in a high paced environment.

In recent years Burnley has seen significant economic and housing growth and an effective highly competitive Building Control Service is at the heart of the Council’s vision to make Burnley the first choice for business investment and as a place to live. An effective support function is the foundation of delivering a quality Building Control Service for residents and business in the Town.

It is essential you have experience of working in a support and administrative section of an organisation and have experience of dealing with customers.
