St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a hard working and highly motivated Caretaker to join our exisiting team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated School Caretaker to join our team. The role will include property and site maintenance; the management of the site and site security arrangements; the maintenance and decoration of the buildings as well as health and safety. The successful applicant will: • have a helpful and friendly manner • be able to work as part of a team to carry out low maintenance duties. • be a responsible key holder • have previous experience in painting, caretaking, or a trade skill. • have knowledge of Health &amp; Safety Regulations. &nbsp;

Our TeamThe Caretaking team are a part of Facilities Management who sit within the Operational side of Property Services. The team are based primarily at both Runcorn Town Hall and the Municipal Building but work across a number of our corporate sites.The team are responsible for providing, caretaking services which ensures that the Council’s primary corporate and library facilities are run and managed effectively and that they are fit for purpose, and meet the needs and aspiration of the public, councilors and staff alike. Your Contributions:Are you practical, and take pride in doing a job well. whether it’s setting up a meeting room, gritting icy paths, or checking a building is secure at the end of the day, You don’t need to be a qualified tradesperson, but some basic maintenance experience would be ideal.. You should also also be:<ul><li>Comfortable moving between different sites and providing support during emergency situations. </li><li>Happy to take responsibility for the small but essential tasks that keep our buildings safe, clean, and operational.</li><li>Willing to work on a shift system, you will be Self-motivated and capable of using own initiative, and willing to take on any duties that are reasonably requested.</li></ul>As the role involves regular travel across the borough and sometimes further afield, you will be able to drive and hold a valid driving licenseYou must be willing to drive the Caretakers vehicles which consist of a larger transit style van together with a smaller van.
