We are looking for a full-time Regeneration Officer to work as part of our Economic Development and Regeneration Team. You will be responsible for delivering projects as identified as part of the Council’s regeneration programme and as part of the Council’s infrastructure delivery plan. You will be involved in working with partners, businesses and other stakeholders to secure investment, and you will help to prepare funding bids.
You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on projects they are delivering. This will include any monitoring or reporting required in respect of any grants or loans secured from third party funders, and in respect of the annual Infrastructure Funding Statement required for S106 or Community Infrastructure Levy spending.
You will have the following key skills and abilities:
- Well developed interpersonal skills for persuading and influencing and the ability to build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders
- The ability to work under your own initiative and balance competing demands and different projects
- The ability to understand and interpret complex information and provide solutions to problems looking over the longer term
- A strong ability to present information and write reports for a range of different audiences including elected Members
- A good level of general IT skills
Experience
Previous practical experience working on the delivery of projects within a built environment setting is essential. Previous experience of working within a public sector organisation in a project delivery role is desirable.
Knowledge
We are seeking an individual with a relevant professional degree level qualification, or relevant equivalent experience in regeneration, planning, asset management or another area of the built environment. A qualification or equivalent experience in project management is desirable.
