To create and develop positive relationships with local landlords and letting agents, negotiating the use of accommodation. A Week in the Life of an Information and Data Governance Manager at Enfield Council 
Curious what it’s like to be in this role? Here’s a glimpse into a typical week… 
~~Monday~~ 
You kick off the week with a morning check-in with your team. As part of Digital Services, you’re responsible for leading the Council’s approach to information governance, so you review the latest compliance reports and check the status of any ongoing audits. A few departments have flagged overdue updates to their Information Asset Registers, so you send reminders and offer support. 
Mid-morning, you join a cross-departmental meeting to discuss the rollout of a new document management system. You advise on retention schedules and data classification protocols to ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policies. After lunch, you draft updates to the Council’s Data Sharing Agreement template, incorporating feedback from Legal and Cyber Security colleagues. 
You end the day reviewing the latest FOI and SAR requests with your Information Governance Officer, ensuring responses are on track and escalating any complex cases. 
 
~~Tuesday~~
