The Environment and Energy unit is responsible for the policies and programmes related to the Mayor’s ambitions around the natural environment, climate adaptation and his net zero 2030 target. 
The Programme Management Coordination team is a cross-cutting team at the heart of the Unit, providing leadership on governance, finance, business coordination, communications, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation activities for the Unit. This role will lead the planning and coordination of communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement for the Environment and Energy team. Sitting at the heart of a busy and high-impact policy area, you will be responsible for shaping how the team’s work is communicated to Londoners, stakeholders, and partners - maximising reach, clarity and alignment with Mayoral priorities.
You will work closely with communications colleagues and policy leads to develop and implement communication strategies that support key environmental programmes and campaigns. Copywriter

We are looking to recruit to a new and exciting role in our Communications and Marketing department. This role is based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL).

GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
