We are seeking a Demand Responsive Transport Team Leader to lead both the strategic and operational delivery of Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) and Dial-a-Ride (DAR) services across the county. <br><br> Working within the Integrated Passenger Transport Unit (IPTU), you'll lead a dedicated team of officers and liaise with providers, stakeholders and the local community to deliver high-quality, flexible transport options that meet the needs of our residents. <br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br> The Team Leader will:<ul>\n<li> Lead on the delivery of the Demand Responsive and Dial-a-Ride services and to be accountable for delivering service expansions or new services in the county </li>\n<li> Be responsible for seeking out and delivering efficiencies against key performance metrics and working with contract holders to improve and develop the services </li>\n<li> Provide inspirational leadership and line management to a large, multi-disciplinary team, fostering professional development and knowledge-sharing </li>\n<li> Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, elected members, neighbouring authorities and external organisations </li>\n<li> Lead public engagement initiatives for both DRT and DAR, representing the council at external forums and events </li>\n<li> Be accountable for budget management, ensuring effective allocation of resources and value for money; supporting the development of business cases and funding bids for new or expanded DRT services </li>\n</ul><br><b>About you</b><br><br> <strong>Essential</strong>:<ul>\n<li> Evidence of strong leadership skills in order to lead the team in a number of projects within an agreed framework, to cost, ensuring effective monitoring and timely completion. </li>\n<li> Good communications skills in a range of media to both internal and external stakeholders with a collaborative, problem-solving style </li>\n<li> Demonstrated experience in budget management and contract management </li>\n<li> A willingness to implement positively the management of change, including working jointly with external bodies. </li>\n<li> The ability to work effectively in a team and on your own and will remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines </li>\n<li> Experience in transport planning, complex transport operations or service delivery </li>\n<li> An excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications with the ability to create presentations, effectively collate and analyse data and to produce reports. </li>\n</ul>We welcome applications from candidates who currently reside in the UK with established proof of right to work documentation.
