Operation Officer (Lifeguard) – (Ref: OO)
Full time: &nbsp; 40 hours per week
Salary: £25,521.60 pa

Then come and join our friendly operations team at John Warner Sports Centre in Hoddesdon and Laura Trott Leisure Centre in Cheshunt. You will be helping your community within these centres by providing excellent customer services, so they can enjoy our facilities safely and to the highest standards of cleanliness.&nbsp;
What is required?
<ul>
<li>In date National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).</li>
<li>You will need to be resilient, reliable, and conscientious.</li>
<li>Enjoy working as part of a team.</li>
<li>Have excellent customer care skills.</li>
<li>Have a friendly and effective manner.</li>
<li>You will need to converse at ease with members of the public in fluent English to provide advice.</li>
<li>Perform the safe manual handling, setting up and breaking down heavy equipment within operational guidelines.</li>
<li>You will need to be organised and be calm under pressure.</li>
<li>On qualifying you will need to pass regular competency tests.</li>
<li>You will need to pass a swim test which will be conducted at interview stage.</li>
<li>This role requires a disclosure and barring service (DBS) check as it is working with children and vulnerable clients.</li>
</ul>

Operations Officers/Lifeguards

About the role BEAM are seeking casual team members to join the Welcome Team.The successful candidates will assist Duty Managers in the day-to-day delivery of the food and beverage operation and be the open, friendly, knowledgeable face of BEAM. Successful candidates will work ad hoc evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.Candidates must be 18+ What will you be doing? Some of the key responsibilities include: • Provide high standards of customer care at all times. • To be familiar with the venues ever changing artistic offer of shows, films, and events. • To be familiar with the food and beverage menu. • Serve drinks, food, and confectionery across the building. • To maintain the required level of cleanliness across all front of house and back of house areas as required by the Hospitality and Operations Manager (including equipment, washrooms, rooms for hire, and auditoria). • Undertake the manual handling of goods, refuse and equipment. • Follow stock rotation procedures to minimise waste. • Assist customers to purchase tickets at the ticketing kiosks as necessary • Operate all relevant aspects of the EPOS system. About you This role will suit individuals with: • excellent customer service and communication skills • a friendly and professional manner. • a flexible and adaptable approach to work. • the ability to work well under pressure. • a positive and proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will have: • Good numeracy and literacy skills. • Previous experience of working in a team. • Experience of working in a hospitality and food service environment is desirable. • A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but training will be given. • Experience of using an EPOS system is desirable but training will be given. • Customer Service experience is desirable. • Excellent communication skills. • Basic computer and IT skills. • Energy and motivation to work in a busy arts environment.
