This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious leader to join our pastoral team as a Head of Year. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing and progress of all pupils in a year group. We are looking for the very best person to guide and support a year group to excellence. In this role you will report directly to a Teaching Key Stage Leader.
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent communication and leadership skills in order to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and external agencies
- Have high expectations of students and what they can achieve
- Have significant pastoral experience
- Have a strong understanding of strategies which address barriers to learning
- Have a sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection with the ability to manage complex student needs with professionalism and care whilst being part of a wider safeguarding team
- Be able to develop and drive new initiatives and innovate practice

Paid weeks per year: 49.17 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)
