This exciting opportunity will provide you with a great start in becoming a Qualified Social Worker for The Trust, learning on the job whilst earning a salary, incurring no student debt, and gaining a BA Hons Social Work degree at the end of it.
With a dedicated practice educator to support you whilst completing the course along with academic support from Staffordshire University, we will provide you with all the learning opportunities in a statutory Social Work environment to enrich your knowledge and development. You will also benefit from group learning and reflective opportunities from our highly esteemed Practice Academy as well as have a permanent employed role on our fantastic ASYE programme upon successful completion of your apprentice degree.
About you
- Can evidence suitable academic ability i.e. GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C or 9-4) or equivalent i.e. functional skills Maths and English at level 2. Please note, to enrol onto the programme you must provide certificates to evidence these qualifications at interview stage.
- Have minimum 2 years direct and varied work experience within Children's and families and have the potential to take on the challenges and responsibility of a qualified Social Worker.
- Are keen to learn and motivated to succeed.
- Are willing to provide excellent service to children and families open to Birmingham Children’s Trust.
