St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a small friendly one-form entry primary school situated just north of Bracknell Town Centre. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced School Business Manager to join our team and play a vital strategic leadership role in the continued growth and success of our school from September 2025.
About this role:
As School Business Manager, you will oversee and lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of finance and operations across the school. Working closely with the headteacher and as a member of the senior leadership team, you will be a key driver in ensuring that our school runs smoothly and sustainably, supporting the best outcomes for our pupils and staff.
We are seeking a person who is:
- An experienced School Business Manager with a proven track record of excellent financial management.
- A strategic thinker who can drive improvement and manage change
- An enthusiastic, organised and flexible person.
- A collaborative team player and good communicator
- Competent with overall financial management of the school
- Able to manage operational functions including premises, health & safety, HR and IT services
- Competent in using online portals such as FMS and SIMs
- Able to support the governing body with financial monitoring and reporting
- Able to attend governors meetings, when required to do so
- Able to lead a team – including caretaker, cleaners, school secretaries, lunchtime staff and extended schools staff

25 hours per week - open to discussion as to when these hours are timetabled across the week and can include some remote working. Term time only + two weeks.

Pre–employment medical check
