This new role as a children's independent domestic abuse advisor, will work alongside MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) colleagues providing support to referring professionals on understanding the child's voice and lived experience so that the right support at the right level of need can be provided. As a CIDVA you will support the screening of domestic abuse referrals, enhancing the analysis of risk by gathering information regarding the voice of the child, and supporting a formulation of a safety plan where required. You will also play a pivotal role in the MultI Agency Risk Assessment (MARAC) . This will require you to work alongside a range of professionals developing an enhanced response to domestic abuse. You will require excellent communication skills which enables you to converse with professionals, families and young people impacted by domestic abuse.</p>\n<p>The right candidate will have detailed knowledge around the impact of domestic abuse, and relevant safeguarding practices, to a level in which you can advise and support other professionals for example in their use of language or risk assessment factors.</p>\n<p>This is a new and developing role, which enables the right candidate to demonstrate initiative in developing the role of a CIDVA, to ensure impact in the right services areas and ultimately with the main goal of improving outcomes for children impacted by domestic abuse. This post is fixed term for a period of 2 years.</p>\n<p>St Helens support hybrid working arrangements and operate flexibility around this as long as service requirements are met.
