However, there may be the opportunity for this to become a permanent position for the right candidate.   </p>\n<p><strong>The key responsibilities of the postholder are:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>To assist the EYFS lead/SENCO with designing individualised support plans and a bespoke curriculum. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To lead in the delivery of an adaptive curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To support pupils with complex needs to enhance and promote their independence. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To support pupils to develop effective communication and social interaction skills.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure good working relationships with parents/carers and other professionals involved in the pupils’ care and promote team working and good working relationships with colleagues.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To be proactive with classroom organisation, including developing effective visual supports and resources. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To maintain regular and appropriate records as directed, following the school’s policies. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all learners. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>To lead and coach additional support staff. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>The successful candidate will:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework as well as the National Curriculum. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a confident and caring individual who can lead classes and support pupils independently. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Have the ability to inspire and motivate pupils of all abilities. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Have experience supporting primary-aged children with a variety of complex special educational needs.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be energetic and have a good sense of humour. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be compassionate, patient, nurturing and committed to supporting children with SEND </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a great communicator and team player with a positive and proactive approach </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be flexible and open to change. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Have excellent verbal communication skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold HLTA status (or be working towards it).  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br><strong>In return we can offer: - </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>An experienced, happy and supportive team of staff  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A happy school community where respect and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent opportunities for training and continual professional development </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Governors and Trustees, who know the school well and are fully supportive of work life balance </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Alexandra Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding children and young people.
