You will be required to undertake various site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with service level agreements, terms & conditions and monitor contractor performance.\nAn essential part of your job will be to build strong relationships with our contractor, other external partners and internal colleagues, so you must be an excellent and confident communicator, ensuring others trust your professional judgement and advice.\nThe role will involve a lot of customer interaction, acting as the first point of contact for the Environmental Services team. A commitment to a high level of customer care is essential, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. You will play an active role in a multi-skilled and motivated team, and there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills, progress your career and contribute to the direction of the service.\nYou will also be able to demonstrate negotiation skills; enthusiasm; self-motivation; sound judgement; a proactive approach to problem solving and tackling challenges; excellent organisational skills; and an ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve service delivery.\nAt times, you may need to make difficult decisions when the waste operations manager is unavailable. A strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations is essential for success in this role.\nWith guidance from the Waste Operations Manager, you will oversee new apprentices in the Environmental Services team, ensuring their growth and success throughout their development and college journey.
