Join now as a Detective Constable for the EMSOU Regional Prisons Intelligence Unit (RPIU) Serious Organised Crime (SOC) Investigator!
The Regional Prisons Intelligence Unit (RPIU) are seeking to recruit two Detective Constables. This department is responsible for conducting investigations into criminals responsible for serious and organised crime operating, predominantly at National Intelligence Model Level 2. The areas of crime investigated are subject to the Regional Control Strategy.
Overview of the role:
- You will be responsible for participating in operations; investigating problems, targets and offences; and interviewing suspects.
- Use intelligence to support the achievement of objectives. Ensure that intelligence is used ethically and in accordance with the relevant legislation, policy, protocols and codes and practice.
- Working with a wider investigation team taking on roles such as Disclosure Officer and Telephone Liaison Officer.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates will need to be able to travel throughout the UK when required. This post will be based at Nottinghamshire in the vicinity of Junction 27 of the M1.
Security Requirements - This post requires regular access to sensitive material and applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo enhanced security clearance before taking up the post.
The material may be of sensitivity to the UK and may therefore be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances, dual nationals (of which one element is British) may be granted access. However, if potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed, the post holder will not be permitted access to the systems or material required for the role and will not therefore be able to perform their duties. For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or achieve the required levels of security clearance requirements cannot be offered the post.
