In this exciting and newly created Administration apprenticeship role, no two days will be the same, whereby you will be supporting three different departments within the Finance sector – Income and Payments team, Insurance team and Payroll team with the following:
The general day to day administration duties for all three departments:
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
- Ensuring filing is kept up to date
- Invoice processing (Sundry Debtor, Creditors & Commercial tenants for insurance recharges)
- Assist with preparing reports and/or data
- Assist with reconciliation
Followed by more specific support required for each department:
Incomes and Payables Team
- Assist with supplier setups and amendments
- Assist with petty cash/cash handling
- Assist with report management and data transfers between systems
- Assist with digitalisation of processes
- To provide support with the day-to-day Income & Payables admin processes
Insurance Team
- Assist in the administration of monthly claim reimbursement statements from the Council’s insurance company.
- Assist with the monitoring and distribution of Engineering Inspection forms and liaise with insurers regarding any amendments or additions.
- Assist with insurance claim administration & making claim payments.
Payroll Team
- Maintaining sickness absence record – including calculating sick pay entitlement inline with the Councils Sickness Management policy
- To support the administration of Car loan, Casual and Essential Car User, monitoring and checking vehicle documentation as required
- To provide support with the day-to-day admin payroll processes
As part of your apprenticeship role, you will complete a Business Administrator (level 3) Apprenticeship course, provided by GBMET (Chichester College Group), the course is due to start in September 2025.
