About the Role:
As a Locality Attendance Officer, you will be required to support and advise a cluster of primary, secondary, and special schools to reduce pupils' unauthorised absence, and to keep schools up to date with current regulations and guidance linked to school attendance. You will also foster the sharing of excellent and innovative practice across Wirral schools. By providing specialist advice and guidance, you will work to ensure that all agencies encourage parents to be fully aware of the value of education and their statutory responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who can command the trust and respect of schools and families in the field of school attendance. The successful candidate will have a sound working knowledge of how school attendance concerns can be associated with wider safeguarding issues. Teaching Assistant required for 5 mornings per week from September 2025
Ancora House School provides education to in-patients admitted to Ancora House, the regional adolescent psychiatric unit in Chester. Our school is also commissioned to provide education in the local community for learners not able to access their mainstream school due to ill health at the school's site in Frodsham.
The opening of a new Day Ward for Eating Disorder patients has created a vacancy for a teaching assistant to work at the hospital site 5 mornings a week and offers a unique experience for the right candidate to develop existing skills and to gain experience of working in the specialist field of adolescent psychology or mental health.
To secure the best possible outcomes for our learners, our outstanding teachers and support staff work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary clinical team that includes doctors, psychiatrists, occupational therapists and speech and language specialists and clinical support staff. You will be working as part of a team of professionals who are dedicated to improving outcomes for learners who are at risk of disadvantage because of their difficulties.
You will have a high degree of emotional warmth and resilience coupled with expertise and a creative approach to engaging and supporting young people.
Successful candidates will have an understanding of trauma informed practice alongside experience of supporting the learning of young people who have special educational needs related to social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

The Governors of Park Brow are seeking to appoint two Midday Supervisors for lunchtime cover 11.30am-1.30pm and 12:00 pm-1:30pm five days per week. To care for the children during the lunchtime break and to prepare, provide and oversee suitable activities at this time.
Main duties include:
<ul>
<li>Supervise the welfare, security and good conduct of children during the mid-day break, enforcing the expected standards of school discipline.</li>
<li>Overseeing the dining arrangements, including the hygiene of pupils and the dining area.&nbsp; Including toileting, hand washing, cleaning spillages, insisting on and modelling good table manners.</li>
<li>Provide and run activities for the children during indoor and outdoor play</li>
<li>Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils</li>
<li>Provide pastoral support to pupils</li>
<li>To administer basic first aid where appropriately trained.&nbsp; This may include recording minor accidents and ensuring that relevant staff are informed and ensuring that more serious incidents are brought to the attention of the First-Aider.</li>

Previous experience is unnecessary as on the job training will be provided.&nbsp; A genuine desire to work with children is essential.

About the Role
As an HLTA, you will:

<li>Work closely with individuals and small groups of children, both in and out of the classroom</li>
<li>Cover whole-class teaching during staff absence, training or PPA</li>
<li>Support children in developing emotional literacy, resilience, social communication, and academic progress</li>
<li>Be a key part of our provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)</li>
</ul>
This is a highly rewarding role that requires flexibility, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills. You will work collaboratively with teachers and support staff and be proactive in creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who:

<li>Is warm, caring, empathetic and enjoys working with children of all abilities</li>
<li>Has a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification</li>
<li>Has experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a school setting</li>
<li>Is confident leading intervention groups and covering class teaching</li>
<li>Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and behaviour management strategies</li>
<li>Understands and champions inclusive education</li>
<li>Is a strong communicator, who works well with staff, families, and outside agencies</li>
<li>Has resilience, a positive outlook and a good sense of humour!</li>
</ul>
Experience of managing whole classes and using recognised teaching and learning strategies is essential. Experience in a mainstream primary setting is highly desirable.
