 Roles That Matter St. Helens Council Music Service is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced tutor to join the team. We are especially interested in brass specialists and curriculum tutors at this time, however any instrument or vocal specialism is welcome.The main duties of the posts include teaching in the borough’s schools, through individual and group lessons. Tutors would be expected to deliver whole class Wider Opportunities and First Access programmes as required.You will need to demonstrate your ability to deliver the music curriculum through a year-long programme of instrumental learning, singing, general musical understanding and the use of creative elements such as composing and improvising. The role will involve working closely to support children with speech and language, social communication/ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH needs. Knowledge of SEND practice and experience of working with young children with SEN in a school setting is desired.
