The Brittons Academy wishes to appoint a Head of English to build on the successes of our current Head of Department who is relocating. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and inspirational English specialist with a clear passion for their subject and exceptional leadership qualities.</p>\n<p>We would also welcome experience in teaching Media.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will have high expectations of all learners in line with our aim for ‘excellence in all that we do’, ensuring every learner achieves to the best of their ability.  The successful candidate must model excellent verbal and written communication skills, have an outstanding understanding of effective curriculum design and be able to inspire students and staff to be the best they can be. We would welcome applications from specialist teachers with experience of teaching and leading these subjects. In addition, we would be keen to interview candidates who may be able to expand the current provision with additional, relevant qualifications. The Head of Faculty would usually be required to assume direct accountability for at least one specialist area within the faculty dependent on strengths and specialism.</p>\n<p>Our new Head of Faculty will enhance provision as a result of their creativity, forward-thinking and robust strategic oversight and accountability for the effectiveness of the faculty.
