Our school is a nurturing place for our children to learn, feel safe and be happy. We provide bespoke support for our children and wherever possible, opportunities for the children to access the mainstream curriculum.</p>\n<p>We are looking to employ an experienced primary teacher with a passion and expertise in supporting children with a range of additional needs, including  Autism and social communication difficulties, physical disabilities and pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. The SEND/Nurture teacher will manage a dedicated team of learning support staff who have a wide range of experience, skills and SEND knowledge. </p>\n<p><strong>This position requires the candidate to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold QTS and have experience in teaching the primary age range and children with significant SENDs.</li>\n<li>Be confident in using your knowledge of current theory and practice in teaching and learning and SEND.</li>\n<li>Be able to lead and inspire a team of experienced SEND TAs in the continued development and delivery of high quality and effective interventions.</li>\n<li>Be ready to adapt and utilise the benefits of a curriculum that is innovative and flexible in terms of delivery and content: this has to include designing a bespoke curriculum that meets the needs of a variety of learners, whilst meeting the targets on their EHCP’s.</li>\n<li>Be engaged with the School’s ethos, thinking creatively and reflectively within an open and honest team, whilst keeping the needs of the pupils firmly at the centre.</li>\n<li>Be able to develop positive relationships with our children and enable them to be the best they can be.</li>\n<li>Play a full part in the life of the school and is committed to working in partnership with staff, parents and governors.</li>\n<li>As a member of the Inclusion team, the post holder will work collaboratively with our Assistant Headteacher of Inclusion, SENCo and our SEND HLTA as well as outside agencies such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Broadford Primary School and can offer you:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>a kind, caring, warm and friendly school with happy, and motivated children;</li>\n<li>a well-resourced teaching environment with fantastic outside space!</li>\n<li>regular and ongoing professional development opportunities internally and externally.</li>\n<li>a supportive Senior Leadership Team committed to inclusion</li>\n<li>an opportunity to be part of a strong and dedicated staff team who are committed to high standards and creating an inclusive learning environment for all children</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We would strongly encourage visits to see our wonderful school for yourself, meet the SEND team and to ask any questions you may have. This is a key role and you will be part of the public face of our school. You will be the first port of call to our families and children during the school day.
