Works, and reinstatements, must be carried out to the prescribed standards and, as highway authority, Waltham Forest have an enforcement duty to ensure these standards are met. We also issue licences for other highway activities such as hoarding & scaffolding. We have a duty to manage our road network balancing the necessity of works on the highway with the right of road users to expect the minimum disruption from works.<br> <br>Highways is responsible of about 420km of roads, 900km of footpaths, 30km segregated cycle tracks and we require an experienced Street Works Technician.
