Responsibility includes reacting to emergency situations and liaising with Tunnels Police to deal with incidents as they arise to ensure the safety of and minimal impact to tunnel users, staff and contractors and that any disruption to the tunnel operations is minimised.</p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><strong>About the person</strong></p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have a technical background and knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems, will be able to work a 12-hour shift pattern, and be a team player with experience of using computer-based control and monitoring systems.
