Job Introduction

Are you passionate about restoring nature and shaping the future of our local environment? We are seeking a dedicated Local Nature Recovery Strategy Officer to lead the delivery of the Greater Lincolnshire Nature Recovery Strategy.


In this role, you will work collaboratively with local authorities, landowners, community groups, and environmental partners to identify priority habitats, map opportunities for nature recovery, and drive meaningful environmental improvements across the area. This is a fixed term post, fully funded by DEFRA. It is initially a fixed term three year appointment. We expect it to be extended further, depending on funding.


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy
  • Engage stakeholders to build strong partnerships and secure input
  • Analyse ecological data and identify opportunities for habitat enhancement
  • Support biodiversity net gain and wider environmental objectives


From identifying priority habitats to collaborating with stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in protecting and restoring nature across Greater Lincolnshire. This is a unique opportunity to influence long-term environmental outcomes and deliver tangible change at a local scale.
