Are you an enthusiastic, organised, and financially astute individual looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and vibrant primary school community?
Wincham Community Primary School is a 'family where every child is known, valued, and nurtured,' and this ethos extends wholeheartedly to our dedicated staff team. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive working environment where everyone feels supported, inspired, and valued. We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive School Business Manager to join our team.
About the Role:
As our School Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational management of the school’s financial, administrative, and site services. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective running of the school, allowing our teaching staff to focus on igniting enthusiasm and a love of learning in our pupils. This is a vital position that contributes directly to our school's mission of fostering kindness, compassion, a strong sense of community, and nurturing well-rounded individuals and global citizens.
What We Offer:

- Team and Individual Focused Support: We pride ourselves on our 'family' atmosphere, where every member of staff is known, valued, and nurtured. You will receive dedicated support from the Headteacher and the wider leadership team.
- Opportunities for Growth and Development: We are keen to support the right candidate to thrive in this role. For individuals with strong potential and a desire to learn, we are open to providing internal mentoring and guidance. Furthermore, we may be able to support the successful candidate in undertaking the Level 4 Diploma for School Business Professionals (CSBM) or other relevant qualifications, demonstrating our commitment to your long-term professional development.
- A Positive Working Culture: We foster a positive, respectful, and joyful working environment where collaboration and initiative are highly valued.
- Making a Real Difference: Your work will directly impact the educational experience of our pupils and contribute to the flourishing of our entire school community.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an individual who:
- Possesses excellent organisational, financial, and administrative skills.
- Is proactive, efficient, and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
- Has a collaborative approach and excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Is adaptable, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Aligns with our school's ethos of kindness, compassion, inclusivity, and community spirit.
- Whilst prior experience as a School Business Manager is advantageous, we encourage applications from individuals with transferable skills and a genuine desire to develop in this field.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Managing the school budget and financial planning in line with DfE guidance and sound financial principles.
- Overseeing all aspects of school administration, including HR, premises management, and health and safety.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements.
- Working closely with the Headteacher and Governing Body on strategic planning.
- Developing and implementing efficient administrative systems and processes.
How to Apply:
If you are excited by this opportunity to join our Wincham family and contribute to a school that is truly committed to nurturing every child and supporting every staff member, we would love to hear from you.
