Working days are Monday to Friday. The office base is Huyton Village Centre where free long stay car parking is currently available.
Commencing with 30 days annual leave rising to 36 days with 10 years’ service. Statutory Bank Holidays are in addition to this already generous annual leave entitlement. Hybrid Working is fully embedded across the Council.
Immediate entry into the Local Government Pension Scheme with additional Employer contributions for this grade of post currently at £12,545 per annum.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Local Authority, having specific responsibility to ensure the Council’s operational land and property assets are managed efficiently, effectively and facilitate the provision of excellent services through collaboration with Elected Members, partner organisations and other key stakeholders.
A fully qualified Member of the MRICS professional body and MRICS Registered Valuer, you will play a key role in providing leadership to the Property Management and Development Team and the Property Information Management Team alongside a number of specific property related project priorities, whilst also providing direct support to the Head of Assets.
You will manage services and undertake specific tasks in relation to the following:
• Lead on a review of corporate estate management and to implement any agreed changes arising from the review.
• Be responsible for the management of annual asset valuations for accounting and insurance purposes for all Council Property Assets which fall under the responsibility of the Assets Service and for ensuring that asset valuations meet the requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards and the Council’s accounting policies for the annual Statement of Accounts.
• Undertake property reviews to rationalise the Council’s estate, identify development opportunities and manage any arising land or property disposals.
• Provision of high-quality professional property advice to the council to support decision making.
• Efficiently manage the Council’s neighbourhood shops portfolio in accordance with good estate management practice.
You will be an outstanding leader with exceptional communication and engagement skills, along with a track record of improving and transforming services. You will need to be forward thinking, determined and able to develop successful relationships with Senior Officers, Elected Members, partner agencies and high performing teams. You will have the diplomacy skills to maintain good working relationships at all levels.
