We here at Social Interest Group (SIG) are looking for a&nbsp;Cash Management Officer&nbsp;to join our Finance team to drive the delivery and management of our cashflow forecasts to support central and operational teams with their financial budgets and controls to manage and maximise the funds entrusted to us to support our residents and participants.&nbsp;
You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive finance team, helping to improve processes, develop financial tools, and deliver training where needed. Your work will ensure financial accuracy and integrity across the Group and its subsidiaries, enabling our services to run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities Include:

<li>Manage daily banking transactions and reconciliations</li>
<li>Support with weekly cash-flow forecasts and monthly credit card reconciliations</li>
<li>Maintain and update financial records, petty cash, and reporting templates</li>
<li>Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with SIG policies and legal standards</li>
<li>Monitor spending trends and provide clear reports and analysis</li>
<li>Act as a key contact for finance-related enquiries and stakeholder communication</li>

About You

You will need to understand the importance of financial integrity in the not-for-profit sector and be passionate about using your skills to support effective service delivery for those who need it most.

Help shape Finance in Local Government! 
Working in the heart of the Council, this role provides the opportunity to lead and develop our accountancy team to provide an innovative and proactive approach to financial advice within the Council. In addition to the direct management of the Accountancy team, you’ll support the Head of Finance in the production of the annual accounts and budget setting.
Your experience as a fully qualified accountant will be invaluable as you provide advice and support to projects from a financial perspective and assist with treasury management.
At Sevenoaks, you’ll be able to shape your own development as we can offer experience of working with a financially self-sufficient Council, exposure to the Finance mechanisms for two companies and the chance to play a key role in the future of Local Government.

We’re looking for a new Independent Member to join our Audit Committee.
This Committee reviews the effectiveness of our governance and risk management arrangements.
As an Independent member on the Committee, you will serve an important role bringing independent scrutiny to the Committee’s work.
You’ll need to have the skills and experience in one or more of the following areas: local government, governance, audit, finance risk management and internal control. You should also have a connection with the Sevenoaks District, for example living or working here. You’ll need to attend around four evening committee meetings each year.

As Deputy Section 151 Officer, you will support the statutory duties of the Strategic Director Finance, deputising in their absence to ensure the Council maintains the highest standards of financial governance, resilience, and accountability.
<h3>About the candidate</h3>
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive finance leader who is CCAB, CIPFA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and have experience operating at a senior level within a finance function, preferably in a local government setting.
A strong understanding of financial systems, local government finance and treasury management is essential as well as the ability to inspire, empower, and motivate teams. You will also have a high degree of organisational and political awareness and the ability to influence and build strong relationships.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our recently formed Corporate Finance Team for a Principal Accountant. You will provide leadership, direction and effectively managing the Year end accounts ensuring that both Councils are providing effective services that support the delivery of Corporate Priorities by developing and maintain robust partnerships to deliver positive outcomes.
You will lead on the closure of accounts and the audit process and be responsible for Treasury practices.
Be responsible for ensuring compliance with technical requirements and accounting, such as the Collection Fund, disseminating training as required.
Providing expert advice to Officers and Members in relation to financial compliance, attending relevant committees. Advising Senior Leaders on treasury, capital and ensuring the delivery of Corporate Priorities, as well as the wider ambitions of driving delivery through collaborative, partnerships and relationship building.&nbsp;

You will ideally possess a CCAB qualification, with extensive post qualification experience. Extensive experience of financial accounting and treasury.
