As an Assistant SEND Officer (Tribunals), you&nbsp;will be responsible for supporting the Resolutions and Tribunals Officers to deliver statutory assessments of children and young people. This will involve requesting and collating evidence, liaising with families and professionals, creating and updating electronic records using Capita ONE (our case management system), Microsoft Word and Excel and other software.
As an Assistant SEND Officer (Tribunals) you will draw on your excellent written and spoken English as the work involves significant amounts of writing emails and letters and working with families and professionals in- person, in virtual meetings and on the telephone. You will have strong administrative skills as well as previous experience in similar posts.
This is a diverse and busy role where no two days are ever the same. Whether working in the office, side by side with colleagues, or some days from home, you will be fully inducted and supported.
You will be enthusiastic, flexible, confident and reliable, whilst seeking a rewarding role.

We are a registered provider of social housing, a managing agent for financial and housing management services to small landlords and we are innovating ways to make community-led housing more widespread in England.
This is a great time to join the Board at CDS. We are unique in the housing sector with our mission to provide, support and grow co-op and community-led housing. At the same time our organisation, like so many others, is grappling with a widening gap between income and costs with the pressure of higher building safety, decent homes and environmental standards added to the general economic forecast for high inflation and market volatility. But we’re also changing and growing in exciting ways: we are launching the first technology-driven, Procurement Act-complaint repairs and planned maintenance framework of its kind; we are creating a new impactful investment vehicle to provide private renters fair, resident controlled homes; and we have established the ground-breaking Co-operation in Social Housing Commission, working with the London School of Economics and others to transform the relationship between landlords and local communities. To help us boldly navigate these challenges and opportunities, we are looking for a new board member who will help us hold fast to our mission and our ambition for cooperation and community-led housing whilst being realistic and determined in how we apply our resources to the task.
This board member will also serve on our Finance, Audit &amp; Risk Committee, scrutinising and overseeing our annual budget, thirty-year business plan, internal audit programme, strategic risk register and other vitally important aspects of CDS’s governance and overall management.

<h3>About you...</h3>
As a Leaving Care Personal Adviser, you will develop an effective working relationship with young people eligible for leaving care services. You will motivate and effectively support them to engage in education, training and employment whilst ensuring they effectively handle their finances, live in suitable housing, and have the necessary emotional resilience and skills for independence.
As a Leaving Care Personal Adviser, you will need a wide range of skills including knowledge of issues that impact care leavers and unaccompanied young people. You will play a key part in supporting them into adulthood and preparing them with skills to ensure they have the best chances moving forward independently.
You will need to think creatively and take the lead on some participation and group activities for the cohort of care leavers that we work with.
