The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join our Care Leavers Team. The Care Leavers are responsible for Supporting young people from the age of 16 to 25.&nbsp; You will be responsible for helping them to achieve stable and secure housing where they feel safe, to learn and train so they can be financially secure through employment and to have the life skills they need to live as an adult.
In this role, you will; deliver high quality support for care leavers up to age 25. You will build purposeful and effective relationships with young people, supporting them to achieve the goals set out in their pathway plan.
You will work in a strengths-based, trauma informed way to support care experienced young people. You will also support young people to access appropriate specialist support, such as education, training and employment advice and services, housing and benefit advice, drug and alcohol services, or mental health services etc. as necessary. &nbsp;

You'll help shape transport policies and initiatives that reduce car dependency, encourage walking, cycling and public transport use, and make our communities more climate resilient.We are seeking a dedicated and ideally experienced Sustainable Travel and Road Safety Officer to join our team, primarily focused on the scheme pipeline of active and sustainable transport projects for our Integrated Transport Block programme. The Sustainable Travel &amp; Road Safety Team are responsible for feasibility, engagement and works to enable active and sustainable travel and make roads safer and accessible through infrastructure and behaviour change projects. Our workstreams include: active travel schemes; behaviour change and road safety; development management mitigation comments; electric vehicle infrastructure; feasibility work; and policy development.The creation of our active travel network is strategic. The adopted <a href="https://chrome-extension/efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https:/n-somerset.gov.uk/sites/default/files/2023-03/31418 ATAP - Active Travel Network action plan ACC.pdf" target="_blank">Active Travel Action Plans (ATAPS)</a> have shaped what future improvements may come forward working with our local communities, as well as other strategic documents such as our EV Strategy, and joint Local Cycling &amp; Walking Infrastructure Plan. We work closely with a range of other teams within the authority to help ensure active and sustainable transport is considered as part of everyday activities within the council.In this role, you will work on the following areas:<ul><li>The formulation, progression, implementation and promotion of sustainable travel and road safety policies and projects, including the promotion of behavioural change;</li><li>Providing professional advice to the council in relation to sustainable travel and road safety projects;</li><li>The feasibility and engagement of active and sustainable transport proposals and projects before infrastructure projects are delivered by the engineering section;</li><li>Working closely with other service areas within the council, and with partners, to achieve an integrated approach to sustainable travel and road safety within North Somerset;</li><li>The evaluation of sustainable travel and road safety impacts of new developments, travel plans and transport improvements;</li><li>The promotion of travel plans and the delivery of road safety advice and practical training in schools;</li><li>The preparation, delivery and maintenance of workplace travel plans, for the council’s own staff and for other major employers; and</li><li>The organisation and delivery of road safety advice, education, publicity and practical training to identified priority groups/locations.</li></ul>Progress through the grades will be dependant on obtaining appropriate qualifications and developing further skills and competencies, on service requirements and any post vacancies.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Project and programme management of new capital schemes.</li><li>Scheme proposal assessment.</li><li>Process and organisation of the scheme pipeline of projects.</li><li>Undertaking consultation, engagement and behaviour change programmes.</li><li>Liaising with stakeholders, members and local residents.</li><li>Undertaking tasks for day-to-day management of the team, including finance, Cycle to Work Scheme and administration.</li></ul>Valid driving licence and/or own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role, including for work in more rural areas. The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MASH Team Manager to join our Front Door. A&nbsp;Children’s Social Care Team Manager at the Front Door&nbsp;plays a pivotal role in ensuring that children and families receive the right support at the right time, starting from their very first contact with Children’s Services.&nbsp;The&nbsp;Front Door&nbsp;is the first point of contact for all referrals and concerns about children’s welfare. As a&nbsp;Team Manager&nbsp;in this critical area, you are responsible for leading a team that triages, assesses, and responds to incoming contacts from the public, professionals, and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Lead the Front Door team&nbsp;in managing referrals and initial contacts, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to concerns about children’s safety and wellbeing.</li>
<li>Oversee decision-making&nbsp;on thresholds for intervention, ensuring that referrals are directed to the right service—whether Early Help, assessment teams, or immediate safeguarding action.</li>
<li>Work closely with the call handling service, providing professional advice and ensuring accurate information gathering at the first point of contact.</li>
<li>Chair strategy discussions and legal planning meetings&nbsp;where there are concerns about significant harm or the need for care proceedings.</li>
<li>Collaborate with partner agencies&nbsp;such as the police, health, and education to ensure a coordinated and effective response to safeguarding concerns.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance&nbsp;with statutory guidance (e.g.,&nbsp;Working Together to Safeguard Children), local procedures, and national standards.</li>
<li>Support and supervise staff, ensuring high-quality practice, manageable workloads, and continuous professional development.</li>
<li>Monitor performance and quality, using data and feedback to drive improvements in service delivery.</li>
