We are looking for a Parking Services officer to join our small parking team.
As a Parking Services Officer you will deliver an efficient, effective, and high-quality customer focussed Parking Service working directly with external organisations in the delivery of Civil Parking Enforcement.
You will be responsible for processing and actioning all appeals and representations for Penalty Charge Notices received for both Arun District Councils off-street car parks and on-street on behalf of West Sussex County Council.
The role requires you to produce monthly and quarterly KPI monitoring reports along with cash reconciliation on a daily basis.
The role also requires you to communicate with customers face to face, via email, and telephone, alongside dealing with enquires from internal and external stakeholders.

The job is based at the Civic Centre in Littlehampton, and this will be your contractual job location. About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for a Civil Engineering Technician to join the Property and Facilities team supporting the Projects Engineer to carry out Corporate Projects.
The projects involve development or improvement of Council owned assets but extend to working with other organisations on the Public Realm. Although this is a technical based role, there will be an opportunity to discuss and meet with stakeholders supporting the projects.
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will support the Corporate Project Engineer. On a daily basis, this could include carrying out inspections, assessments, analysis and giving professional advice and opinion to others.&nbsp;&nbsp;Being familiar and able to work with Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) plans would be an asset to this role.
About you:
To succeed as a Civil Engineering Technician, you will be detail orientated, thorough in your work and have the ability to use your initiative and be flexible as changes arise. You will be able to work well with a range of people and within a team. Knowledge of building and construction is essential, some experience in civil engineering and Microsoft Office suite would be preferable. CAD experience would also be an advantage.
As this position is an essential car user role, you will be required to travel around the District and therefore a full and current UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

We are seeking an individual to lead our Compliance team in our newly formed Compliance service within Building Services of the Housing, Neighbourhood and Building Services Directorate. The role will have responsibility for ensuring that the Council meet its statutory compliance duties to its stock of nearly 17,000 HRA residential dwellings and 900 corporate assets. The post holder will be responsible for management of teams undertaking compliance activities in relation to; •	Gas servicing and repairs •	Asbestos management •	Water quality •	Building Health and Safety •	Lift servicing and repair •	Mechanical &amp; electrical servicing and repair The role will also assume responsibility for ensuring policies and procedures are in place across Building Services and that they are implemented so that statutory responsibilities are met with the safety of residents, members of the public, staff and our buildings being maintained. The role will hold responsibility for the overall management of all mechanical and electrical servicing and repair contracts, ensuring that contracts are suitably procured and managed, delivering a high service and providing value for money. Skills: The ideal candidate is someone who will: 1	Have a relevant property related degree and be a Chartered Member of the RICS / CIBSE / CMIOSH or other relevant professional body with post Chartership experience. You will be working with a diverse range of residents with varying needs and strengths. This requires you to be adept and skilled in your interactions, as some individuals may present with challenging behaviours due to their life experiences and potential trauma.
This vital work requires strong collaboration with partner agencies. You will need to be able to develop good working relationships, build trust, and negotiate effectively on behalf of our residents.

The Community Protection Officer will provide a visible and pro-active presence to make Arun a safer place to live, work and visit. Working as part of the Arun Community Safety Team, the role will be all about getting to know the community, building trust and resilience and supporting those in need. This role will carry enforcement powers to actively work with the community and wider partners to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. The role is active, providing patrol across the District and will be required to work shifts, with evenings and weekends as part of the rota.
