We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our Food and Health &amp; Safety Team. This role will involve a wide range of regulatory functions, balancing proportionate enforcement interventions with providing advice and support to our local businesses.
You will be carrying out food hygiene inspections, service requests, reactive and proactive health and safety enforcement, infectious disease controls, complaint investigations, approved premises inspections and enforcement work.&nbsp; You must be experienced in carrying out food hygiene official controls and the preparation and service of statutory notices and prosecutions.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and a commitment to providing good customer care.&nbsp; You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and be a great team player.&nbsp; The successful candidate must be able to travel throughout the borough to attend site visits as required by the role.&nbsp; We are an agile organisation working flexibly from home and the office in a hybrid work pattern, so you will need to be self-motivated and be able to work well independently.

Reporting to the Facilities Officer &amp; Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent standards of customer satisfaction are maintained, providing the key interface between Council properties, the concierge and the facilities management service provision.&nbsp; You will liaise with customers, tenants, delivery partners, staff, contractors and public bodies as appropriate to ensure the provision of support services meets and exceeds service level agreements.
You will regularly update and monitor planned maintenance schedules, reacting to unplanned activities, ensuring all contractors are appropriately prepared and compliant for any works on Council premises and that procurement and delivery of these are compliant with the Council’s standards.
To be successful in this role you will need:

The Environmental Services team are seeking a committed, enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills and an eagerness to learn.&nbsp;
The post reports directly to the Waste Operations Manager and will work across the environmental services function which covers domestic waste, trade waste, grounds maintenance, street cleansing and environmental crime.&nbsp;

Role Overview 
Charnwood Borough Council’s Housing Repairs team are looking for a qualified Joiner Multi Skill, to carry out a wide range of Joinery repairs associated with the maintenance and adaptation of social housing, Council properties and public buildings.
The role is permanent and will include participation in the out-of-hours call-out service.&nbsp; A full clean driving licence is essential, and a van is supplied for Charnwood business use only.&nbsp; Tools and uniform are also provided.
What We’re Looking For:
You must have NVQ Level 3 or City &amp; Guilds in Joinery or equivalent, as well as the ability and desire to deliver high quality customer standards in line with the Council’s customer service excellence standard.
