The Operational Services Division of Epsom &amp; Ewell Borough Council is looking for dedicated individuals to drive and supervise refuse and recycling collection vehicles, ensuring a timely, high quality, safe, friendly and efficient service to our residents.

You will hold a degree in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England. While community experience is beneficial, it is not essential. You will demonstrate a passion for improving services for people, strong influencing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, providers, and partner organisations. An interest in supported living and in exploring and developing new ways of working is important, along with being open to innovation and change—both as a participant and a leader. The ability to develop and deliver training within their area of expertise is also key.
 The Supported Living Project:
We currently have around 380 people living in supported living services through accommodation-based services and community outreach. We work with around 50 providers to deliver a range of services from a few hours a week to multiple staff-24/7 services. The project is designed to put people we support, innovation, and outcome-based support planning at the core of the services. We want to work with our supported living providers to improve outcomes for individuals and ensure that everyone in supported living have person centred, strengths based support plans with clear outcomes, that support the person to be as independent as they can be. We want to work with people, their families and providers to:

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Town Centre Development Officer to join our proactive Economic Development team at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full time, 2-year fixed term contract.
As the Town Centre Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing the main centres in Central Wokingham, Woodley, and Twyford. This role involves leading the implementation of the new Town Centre strategy, working with businesses and partners to boost economic vitality.
You will build strong relationships with local stakeholders and drive initiatives that support sustainable business growth. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to help shape the future of the borough through innovation and collaboration!

Key responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Work with internal and external stakeholders to establish an effective partnership board spanning across all town centres.</li>
<li>Co-Design, implement and lead on programmes and projects that will attract footfall into our Town Centres and support economic growth.</li>
<li>Work with our footfall contract provider, using the interactive dashboard to integrate data to enable us to make data informed decisions.</li>
<li>Work with colleagues in business support e.g., the Berkshire Growth Hub to deliver business support to ensure growth and sustainability for our Town Centre businesses.</li>
<li>Support the economic development team and members of the wider council with engaging and maintaining close working relationships with local employers.</li>
</ul>
Candidate requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.</li>
<li>Town Centre business development experience or experience in developing or managing a BID.</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience of target setting, monitoring and evaluation.</li>
<li>Knowledge of and ability to interpret complex information, policy and guidance to inform the development of local strategies, policies and procedures and represent good practice.</li>
<li>Experience of managing, high-profile projects involving a broad range of partners stakeholders to achieve defined outcomes.</li>
