What’s the role?
Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint an Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader to manage a team of six Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Officers responsible for offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 duties. Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach to our applicants eligible for homelessness assistance and continuous improvement and efficiency in the service delivery. In addition, you will ensure officers complete S208, enforce offer of suitable accommodation, correctly undertake the discharge of duty and complete all other tasks relevant to their role.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader with a good working knowledge of managing a team responsible for offering accommodation under S188 and S193, Part 6 &amp; 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 and Localism Act 2011 and its application. You must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved in offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 as well as issuing discharge of duty decisions.

Location:&nbsp;Islington, London, (Around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station) Hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office and service visits regularly across London, Brighton, Luton, Bedford, Kent, and Liverpool. Once a month, the full People and Culture team have a collaborative office day on a Monday.&nbsp;
Salary:&nbsp;£27,000
Shift Pattern:&nbsp;Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, with some flexibility around these hours as required.
About the role
Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

<li>Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.</li>
<li>Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.</li>
<li>Ensure Full Payment Submissions (FPS) within tight deadlines and process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with functions within the organisation to ensure consistency of information and process.</li>
<li>Ensure all data and reporting is updated in a timely manner across the relevant databases on a regular basis and fit the needs of the business.</li>
</ul>
In this role, you will report to the Payroll and Pensions Manager, working alongside the wider People and Culture team which includes the Generalist team, Talent Acquisition team, Workforce Development, and Talent Development team. Once a month, we meet as a team and come together for a fun activity and collaborative working.

What we’re looking for Reporting to the Director of Housing Strategy, the Head of Private Sector Licencing and Home Improvement will lead a service area that provides strategic direction for the Council’s housing improvement and assistance service and the property licensing and enforcement function. This is an area of the division with big ambition, as we have recently expanded our property licencing schemes and have seen an increase in applications from residents for support from our grants, specifically the Disabled Facilities Grant. Managing a service of up to 100 staff the post-holder will lead our ambitions to work proactively within the private rented sector to drive up standards and safety for Lewisham’s residents. With expertise in the legal framework of regulation and licensing, you’ll be at the forefront of operationalising our new licensing scheme, and will maximise their impact through innovative new approaches to engaging with our residents. You will also be responsible for utilising a home assistance grant of £2million a year to support our most vulnerable residents to live in safe and secure homes from which they can live independent lives. We’re looking for a strategic and inspirational leader, communicator and manager who can demonstrate strong experience of delivering an operational income-generating service, ideally with a background in commercial or regulatory and enforcement services as well as a strong background and experience in managing Disabled Facilities Grants services. We have an exciting new role for someone with experience of Property Management/the Housing Sector to join our dedicated team.
Liaising with Superior Landlords and their managing agents, you will provide support to Newlon Teams to ensure processes are put in place, so that customers receive an effective service and responsible teams are assured of compliance and invoices paid.
This will involve processing service charge, ground rent, insurance and other one-off invoices, raising queries as necessary to ensure they are received/paid on time. The Supported Living Service enables and supports adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in their own homes. Working with person centred support plans and risk assessments our Supported Living Workers provide direct personal care using safer people handling equipment where assessed. The role can include supporting service users to manage their challenging behaviour, whilst always maintaining and promoting their independence. We adopt a multi-agency approach to support positive behaviour management, in the safest, ethical, and most appropriate way possible for those who may experience issues managing complex behaviour. If you would like to make a difference to help individuals live more independent and fulfilling lives and have some experience of working with adults or children with a learning disability, we would like to hear from you. 
NVQ Level 2 in Health &amp; Social Care or equivalent is advantageous. Employees are required to follow policies and procedures and be willing to undertake all essential training to meet Care Quality Commission standards.



Hours of Work: We have either 1 Hour; 15 Hours or 25 Hoursposts available. 
Pay Rates: The hourly rate is £13.26 to £13.47 per hour . SCP 5 -6, plus two increments for weekend working and a payment for working night at time and a third, when applicable. Sleep Ins are paid at:£41.78 per night.

Shift Patterns: Shifts patterns can include early shifts from 7.30am or late shifts up to 11pm, followed by a sleep in and/or an early shift the following day. Shifts can include sleep in duties, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays and shift patterns can change to meet the needs of the Service Users. There may be occasions to work additional hours to support the service whilst the team are on training, holidays, and sickness.
Examples of shift patterns are 7.30am - 3.00pm, 7.30am -10am and 2.30p,m -10pm. Shift patterns / rota's can include a sleep in shift, examples of times are 10pm to 8 am, or waking night of 10pm to 8 am.
Travel: Our Service Users live across several tenancies in the borough and rely on the flexibility and reliability of our teams to travel across the borough of St Helensto provide the care they need. A drivers licence is advantageous but is not essential.

We are looking for a highly organised, efficient, and motivated individual to provide support to the Director/s within our Environment and Communities Department and be part of the Executive Support Team. 
Reporting into the Executive Support Manager you will be responsible for the provision of effective and efficient administrative support to the Directors and their teams. 
You will be expected to communicate with a range of officers across the Council; Councillors, colleagues of a variety of levels in all departments, partner agencies etc. 
We are looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills, administrative and organisational skills who can work under pressure, be adept at managing their own workload, and use their own initiative. 
You will need excellent communication skills, be a good team player, with the ability to manage and prioritise busy workloads, to handle sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality, and to work flexibly to ensure the office is covered. 
This is a busy office and you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that the office runs smoothly. 
You will be required to work in the office for a minimum of 3 days a week. You will be based at the Civic Centre in Enfield Town
