The Regulatory Services Partnership (RSP) hosted by Merton Council is one of the largest Environmental Health Services in London, with the Food and Safety Team responsible for overseeing more than 6,000 food businesses in Merton, Richmond and Wandsworth. The area covered is diverse in nature and includes a variety of high profile and interesting venues, such as Wimbledon Tennis, AFC Wimbledon, Twickenham Rugby, Battersea Power Station, New Covent Garden and Hampton Court Flower Show.
We have an exciting opportunity for talented and enthusiastic qualified professionals to join our team of dedicated Food and Health and Safety officers to deliver the food safety, health and safety and infectious disease function across the RSP boroughs.
As an authorised officer you will manage and deliver food hygiene and standards inspections of all premises type, including approved food premises. You will investigate complaints and accidents, using your knowledge, skills and experience, and applying the necessary behaviours.
You will mentor and supervise technical staff, sharing your knowledge and experience.
You should have a real passion for improving the environment and public health by engaging with our communities and businesses. You will be highly motivated, with a flexible approach and an eagerness to develop existing competencies as well as attaining new skills.
Whilst our administrative base in in London Borough of Merton, we operate hybrid working and provide touchdown points in all boroughs. There will be an opportunity for candidates to express a preference as to their preferred principal location.&nbsp;
You will be willing to work across the RSP though you will have an agreed principal borough.

We are looking to appoint a Learning support assistant who is enthusiastic and patient. The role is predominantly working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant within the school setting but some group work may be required.&nbsp; The role involves supporting children with physical, sensory and social communication needs. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for parents, children and visitors and must therefore present a calm, friendly and professional manner at all times. You will work closely with the School Business Manager and office team, providing high-quality administrative support alongside financial responsibilities, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and sound knowledge of the use of Microsoft packages. You will be required to administer manual and computerised records, use our school information systems such as SIMS, parentmail etc.
You will be proactive, flexible and able to use your initiative, with excellent communication and organisational skills. Accuracy, discretion and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment are essential. A sense of humour and a positive, team-focused approach are highly valued.
The main areas of responsibility will include:
· Being part of the wider office team which will include front office duties, including welcoming parents and visitors and answering telephone enquiries
· Administrative and secretarial support to the schools leadership team
· Financial administration, including processing orders, invoices and data entry
· Use of school systems including SIMS and other computerised record systems
· Supporting nursery administration in liaison with the EYFS team
· Administering first aid where required
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
· Experience of working in a school office (desirable)
· A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
· Experience of SIMS and FMS (or willingness to learn)
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
· The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Main duties and responsibilities in the following areas:
Leadership &amp; Management

Financial Resource Management

<li>A recognised qualification or a willingness to work towards a qualification with support from the school is an option e.g. working at national occupational standards (NOS) in business and administration and knowledge/skills equivalent to current national qualifications level 4-6 or the Advanced Diploma of School Business Management (ADSBM) or Director of School Business Management. A finance or HR qualification would be advantageous.</li>
<li>Be responsible for the effective financial management of both schools ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and legal requirements.</li>
<li>Evaluate information and consult with the Leadership and Governors to prepare a realistic, balanced and sustainable budget for the schools’ activity in the short, medium and long term</li>
<li>Submit the proposed budgets to the Head Teachers and Governors for approval, assist the overall financial planning process and ensure the school is always audit ready.</li>

They will oversee a programme of work to facilitate the significant growth needed in consumer-led flex, and deepen our understanding of the implications of this growth for the retail market and all consumers, surfacing key strategic questions and policy trade-offs that can be difficult to identify at the individual workstream level.In line with Ofgem’s vision for the retail market, the postholder will need to ensure that policy environment enables and facilitates the innovation and investment we need in the market such that it is attracting new entrants and new products and services, whilst at the same time ensuring that consumers are able to participate and benefit.This will involve cross-team and multi-disciplinary working to oversee and deliver a number of significant programmes of work on time, on budget and to a high standard through effective management and support of multiple teams.
