24 Months Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity 
We are looking for an organised and self-motivated individual to join our Networks Team based in Hackney Central. 
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, and working as part of a busy, friendly team, you will ensure that the Council's obligations under the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, Traffic Management Act 2004. Duties will include, but not limited to, managing the full lifecycle of Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal procedures. This includes assessing and approving applications, reviewing plans/maps of restrictions, and coordinating with stakeholders such as other internal officers and departments, contractors, emergency services, and relevant organisations. The role involves reviewing applications and plans that make permanent changes to the public highway. 
Ideally, you will already have a good working knowledge of all current legislation and a methodical approach which enables you to undertake your work effectively and efficiently. Experience working in a similar fast-paced environment would be an advantage. 
Competent IT user, with good working knowledge of a range of packages including Google Docs &amp; Sheets, Microsoft Word and Excel and mapping systems like Traffweb or Park Map. You will be customer focused and possess excellent communications skills.

About The Role
Join our dynamic Resilience and Flood Risk Management team as a Senior Flood Risk Officer. Flood risk is a key priority in Hounslow, recognised by both Elected Members and Senior Officers. Operating in a complex urban environment, we are committed to reducing flood risk in line with the Council’s Climate Emergency Action Plan and our corporate plan pledges.
With a changing flood landscape, including the need to address the Thames 2100 strategy, we are increasing our investment in flood resilience. This role is one of the first internally recruited flooding posts and offers a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to shape the service and influence how we build resilience in the months and years ahead. The post is a two-year fixed-term contract, with potential for extension.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing flood risks within the borough. Your key tasks will involve supporting the London Borough of Hounslow to enact its duties under the Flood and Water Management Act (2010) as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA), including:

<li>Reviewing and updating flood risk management plans, policies and mitigation strategies for the borough.</li>
<li>Collaborating and engaging with various stakeholders, including utilities companies, emergency services, and community groups.</li>
<li>Providing expert advice on flood risk and conducting drainage assessments to support planning and development decisions.</li>
<li>Supporting with funding bid applications and project management of our SuDS programme of works.</li>

About The Team You’ll Be Working In

We're looking for a Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker to cover the night shift in our service based in Lewisham which offers specialist intensive rehabilitation for people who require more enhanced interventions than that which is offered by commissioned community services. We support residents who live with us for up to nine months and have been discharged from acute wards to avoid admission into inpatient rehabilitation. We support our residents to step down into less supported accommodation to become more independent and integrated into the community.&nbsp;
In this role, you will ensure resident safety, wellbeing, and progress towards their recovery goals. You will support in creating an environment where they feel safe and empowered, and are building relationships with relevant partners and individuals key towards their journey. You will create support plans, plan and hold activities, and further support them to achieve greater independence. The night Shift plays a crucial role in continuing the high quality care provided during the day, ensuring a safe, respectful, and responsive environment for residents. night staff are expected to remain awake, alert, and actively engaged throughout their shift. Sleeping while on duty is strictly prohibited and may lead to disciplinary action, including dismissal for gross misconduct.
