About the role
The Mobile Estate Services Warden will work in a small, dedicated team of estate wardens contributing to the delivery of housing services provided by the Council. The Estate Services team provides an in-house cleaning service to our residential and communal blocks and estates. The mobile estate warden will work alongside the team who are based at Surrey Towers in Addlestone. The mobile estate warden will be responsible for visiting the Council’s different sites, across Runnymede to ensure we continue to provide a first-class cleaning service for our residents. Previous experience of domestic/commercial cleaning is essential.
About you
Our in-house cleaning service is a physically demanding job so being physically fit is essential to dealing with the various tasks that the role entails. The role requires someone who has previous experience within the cleaning industry and is outgoing as engaging with our residents and other team members within the council is very important. An understanding of current health and safety and COSHH would be an advantage. This role will require the right candidate be able to travel across the borough using a company vehicle, so a driving licence is essential. The role will require you to work both alone and as part of a team depending on the needs of the job. You will be required to provide occasional out of hours, on call cover, with emergency assistance.&nbsp; Some previous experience using various Microsoft applications to log site visits and fly tipping issues would be an advantage although training will be provided.

Job Title: Site Officers - Gypsy Service&nbsp; Starting Salary: £30,559 opportunity to progress to £33,366 per annum (pro rata for part time) – pay award pending Hours: 37.0 Location: Countywide/Covering 10 sites Contract Type: Permanent Directorate: Resources<h4>About the team</h4>Join our highly regarded Gypsy &amp; Traveller service within a leading local authority.We are a busy operational team that works on a range of maintenance projects for our tenants, who live on our 10 residential sites across HertfordshireOur team makes a real difference to our tenants by providing a maintenance service to their plot, the sanitary facilities and surrounding areas.<h4>About the role</h4><ul><li>Main base is Hatfield, although your day will be planned around the needs of the sites. We are a county wide service</li><li>As well as the store at Head Office, each gypsy and traveller site has an equipped site office where you can prepare for your day and access materials needed.</li><li>Work is varied and be carrying out fence repairs, plumbing fixtures to maintaining brick work and pre planned maintenance</li><li>Maintaining tidiness in public areas, and to encourage tenants to keep their plots presentable</li><li>You will required to take the on-call phone one week in every eight as part of our of hours service. The out of hours cover a 7 day week and are: 16:00pm – 08:00am Monday to Friday and 24 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday.</li><li>Carrying out reactive/ emergency maintenance as well as planned improvements on our residential sites</li><li>You will have access to a manual vehicle to travel to sites</li><li>Tools are provided</li></ul><h4>About you</h4>Essential:<ul><li>A building qualification in either Electrical, Plumbing or Carpentry or a work record of general maintenance skills and experience</li><li>Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>A full manual driving licence</li><li>Excellent customer service skills</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>Competent with Microsoft IT packages to manage training records, emails and electronic calendar</li><li>Good record keeping skills</li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Organisational Skills/ Time management</li></ul>We welcome applications from candidates who currently reside in the UK with established proof of right to work documentation.
