With a wide variety of services and activities across the Council, you will have a varied and rewarding role, including:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading, developing and delivering our health and safety strategy.</li>\n<li>Acting as a central point of expertise for departments, teams and managers.</li>\n<li>Delivering professional leadership, advice and support across services.</li>\n<li>Assessing monitoring and performance in line with our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Compliance Framework.</li>\n<li>Working with a high level of autonomy and influencing teams across the organisation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is a fast-paced, high impact role where your work will contribute in delivering one of the most visible services we provide. </p>\n<p><strong>Who we’re looking for</strong></p>\n<p>We’d love to hear from you if you:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are well organised and remain calm, focused and professional when under pressure.</li>\n<li>Have demonstrable experience in a health and safety role.</li>\n<li>Understand safe working practices and have experience writing risk assessments and management of controls and actions.</li>\n<li>Have experience in accident and incident investigations.</li>\n<li>Have experience in managing regulatory matters with governing bodies.</li>\n<li>Have excellent customer service skills and be skilled at building relationships across all levels of the Council.</li>\n<li>Have good written and verbal communication skills and are detail focussed in report writing and presentation in meetings.</li>\n<li>Are able to challenge and investigate where needed.</li>\n<li>Have strong audit and evaluation skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is a full-time position.
