Job Introduction

Every shift is a chance to make the difference.

Clinical Practitioner (Clinical Assessment Service).

Location: Anstey Frith House, Leicester Road, Glenfield, Leicester, LE3 8RN

Working Pattern: Bank Contract and weekend hours, 15-25 hours per week (covering days, afternoons and evenings)

Salary: DHU Band 8a.0, £55,276 per annum (pro rata)

At DHU Healthcare, every role matters. We’re a team driven by compassion, respect, and encouragement, where contributions are valued and every voice is heard. Together, we make an impact and help shape the future for our patients, colleagues, and communities.

Skilled teams, exceptional care.

With us, every moment matters. Our UEC teams deliver expert care 24/7, working together to respond quickly when it’s needed most.

As a Clinical Practitioner, you'll deliver urgent care at the point of need – assessing, advising, treating and referring patients through telephone triage within our Clinical Assessment Service (CAS).

This means carrying out autonomous clinical assessments, using your clinical expertise to safely manage patients with a broad range of urgent healthcare needs. You'll provide evidence-based advice, determine the most appropriate care pathway and ensure patients receive the right care, at the right time.

You'll need to be a Registered Nurse or Paramedic (NMC/HCPC) with experience in autonomous clinical practice and telephone triage or urgent care assessment. Strong clinical decision-making, communication skills and a compassionate approach are key to delivering safe, responsive care.

For you, benefits that work.

We’ll support your health, happiness and future with benefits that put you first:

  • Access to the NHS pension scheme (we’ll also honour your
  • existing NHS pension pot and holiday entitlement if you’re
  • transferring)
  • Wellbeing support
  • Flexible working options
  • Career growth and development opportunities

Supporting your growth at every stage.

With us, your development matters. Whether you’re starting out or ready for your next challenge, we offer clear career pathways and opportunities to grow with confidence at every stage of your journey. Through DHU Academy, apprenticeships, and role-specific development, you can explore new skills, embrace opportunities, and shape your career with support every step of the way.

With us, everyone belongs.

We believe that when everyone feels valued, respected and supported, they can do their best work. We’re proud to reflect the rich diversity of the communities we serve, welcoming colleagues from all backgrounds. We are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community and, as a Disability Confident Employer, we welcome candidates to share any support or reasonable adjustments they may need during the recruitment process.
