<h3>About the Role</h3>
We’re looking for Senior Registered Building Inspectors to take on a pivotal role within our Planning &amp; Building Standards service. In this important position, you’ll act in a senior capacity within our Building Control team, providing a comprehensive range of professional services for a designated area both within and beyond the Borough of Haringey.
As well as plan checking and carrying out site inspections, the roll also includes mentoring and supervising the junior staff members, handling validations, and taking the lead on the determination of the more complex Building regulations applications. You will also be responsible for enforcement activities and dangerous structures inspections, both during the working day and as part of a rota for out of hours inspections.
Haringey Building Control are also responsible for safety at Sports Grounds in the Borough, and offer technical safety advise and inspections for other Licensed events in the Borough. Part of the role will also include assisting the BSR with applications on high risk buildings and ensuring that their KPIs are met. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to improving the built environment for residents and businesses in Haringey, and to be at the forefront of implementing the new building safety regime.

<h3>About You</h3>
As a Senior Registered Building Inspector, you’ll bring substantial relevant experience in the delivery and supervision of building control services, demonstrating a deep understanding of buildings within the scope of the Building Safety Regulator. You’ll be registered with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 3 Categories G-H and Class 2 Categories A-F and ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant subject or possess equivalent demonstrable learning.
You’ll be a member of a relevant professional body such as RICS, ABE, CABE, or CIOB. Your excellent understanding of building regulations and processes will be critical, alongside your ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical information. &nbsp;In addition, you will be adept at implementing change and improvement processes, motivating others, and consistently producing high-quality work under pressure.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are essential and will enable you to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, while your ability to build confident and trusting relationships will be key to engaging local communities and stakeholders. <h2>About the role</h2>
The GLA Transport Team is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill a vacancy left by an internal secondment. This is a part-time role of 18.5hrs and we are open to discussing how these hours are managed through the week for the suitable candidate and to meet the needs of the need. &nbsp;
Working in a busy team, you will act as a first point of contact for enquiries to the team, both internally and externally, including from senior officers and politicians, and respond promptly to requests. You must be able to cope with high volumes of emails, keep track of a large number of tasks and most importantly be able to assess and prioritise work confidently and quickly.&nbsp; You will be relied on to manage processes on behalf of the team and therefore will have outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.&nbsp; You will have experience in a fast paced office environment and thrive under pressure. As a Pest Control Technician you can make your own powerful contribution to our Pest Control Teams mission - to be the best Council operated Pest Control Service in London.&nbsp;We want to provide an excellent service covering a growing portfolio of pests and are looking for ambitious individuals with a team mentality that want to continuously learn and develop in their chosen profession.&nbsp;By providing a supportive and nurturing environment we are looking to, so far as is practicable, support residents and bussinesses in the borough to control, and manage out, infesttions of rats, mice, bed bugs, cockroaches and other well recognised urban pests.&nbsp; You’ll be delivering a customer focused, high quality service, carrying out surveys of sites and premises after a complaint or request for service has been received, or as part of a regular inspection programme, taking responsibility for advising complainants and other members of staff regarding suitable treatments and follow up preventative measures, delivering basic proofing works, coordinating and carrying out treatments appropriate to specific tasks, and using approved methods to ensure the most efficient destruction of pests, and undertake block treatment and baiting programmes. The advertised salary is for full time work. If working part time, either less than 36 hours per week, or less than 52 weeks per year, the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

As an HR Partner, you'll deliver a comprehensive generalist HR service, acting as a trusted advisor to schools and trusts. You'll take the time to understand each organisation’s specific context, providing tailored advice and expert support. 
 
While the role has a strong emphasis on employee relations casework, you'll also gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities. These include conducting workplace investigations, developing and delivering training sessions, drafting and reviewing policies, supporting TUPE and change management processes, and contributing to ad-hoc HR projects across our customer schools. 
 
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in generalist HR and the ability to support customers in whatever people or management challenges they are undertaking. This role demands a creative and solution-oriented mindset and a pragmatic approach to HR. The ability to build relationships with customers and develop risk-based options to meet their goals is paramount to being successful in this role. 
 
As we are a customer-facing rather than an internal-facing service, we also require the ability to balance a not-for-profit ethos with a traded service approach whilst ensuring a customer service focus. 
 
Enfield Council has a flexible approach to working and the successful candidate will balance home working, working in the Civic Centre, and working on school site as required. 
 
Being able to travel to various locations by car is essential for this role. You must hold a full driving licence and have appropriate car insurance and access to a vehicle as needed. As this role includes a permanent home working component, you will also need to ensure you will be able to work effectively from home.
