About you&nbsp;
The A-Levels, Science, Higher Education Career Cluster has an opportunity for a suitably qualified part time lecturer.&nbsp;
The successful candidate should have a degree (or equivalent) in a related area. You should also be familiar with the current A Level Biology curriculum and we encourage applications from teachers with a broad range of disciplines both in practice and theory.&nbsp;
Good interpersonal and the ability to work with and relate to students of all ages and abilities and earn their respect and help them to develop to their full potential will be highly beneficial in this role. The successful applicant must also take a student-centred approach, with the ability to offer flexible and stimulating group teaching and classroom management and motivation of students in the 16 -19 age range.&nbsp;
The successful applicant will coordinate the effective delivery of the A Level Biology study programmes across various levels providing academic leadership for students, creating a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and coherent and in line with local and national priorities. As a Lecturer in A Level Biology, you will develop and maintain up to date industry knowledge, bringing in industry professionals, where possible, that are relevant to the curriculum and the employability and skills needs of students. You will support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspiration and goals and will coordinate the tracking of learners’ achievements. In your role you will lead study programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention and progression.&nbsp;
You will have sound organisational skills, your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential.&nbsp;
We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification. The role will require you to work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.&nbsp;

Reviewing completed work against the schedule and contractor invoices and resolving issues as necessary.</li> <li>To provide management reports and schedules relating to any deficiencies identified, and when necessary, certify rectification of snagging of items.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work closely with the Repairs Partnering team ensuring all relevant legislation is being adhered to. Ensure safety, quality, and productivity assessments are carried out so that all work complies with current codes of practice, standards, and legislation, particularly health and safety.</li> <li>Where required, design and specify works, obtain estimates, oversee delivery, monitor expenditure, and complete sign off.</li> <li>As required support other surveying functions within Housing Assets.&nbsp;</li> <li>Undertake / support consultation procedures. Identify issues, resolving as appropriate and escalating complex problems if necessary.</li> <li>Collate process and analyse complex information.
