About this Role&nbsp;
This role is a hybrid of office and home working as well as being out on our estates.  This is a very varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. One day you will be visiting residents in their home to discuss affordable payment arrangements and the next carrying out tenancy sign ups. You will be creative in your approach to support customers and ensure optimal income collection. You will be responsible for managing your own dedicated accounts and really getting to know your tenants, providing expert advice around welfare benefits and income maximisation. You will have an eye for detail and will want to do the best by our residents in supporting them to sustain their tenancies.&nbsp;

About you&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>You’ll be a self-starter with a proactive approach to your workload and possess the ability to work without close supervision. A full, clean UK driving licence is desirable. You’ll also have excellent customer services skills and the following experience&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<li>A working knowledge of welfare benefits&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Effective decision-making skills, a diplomatic and confidential approach, and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Experience in a customer facing role, especially in income management or debt recovery/collection (preferably in a social housing environment, although this is not essential)&nbsp;</li>

About the role&nbsp;&nbsp;
As a Tenancy Relations Officer, you’ll play a vital role in promoting lawful tenancy practices, supporting tenants at risk of illegal eviction, and fostering positive relationships between landlords and tenants in preparation, and then leading on, the changes required in response to the Renters Rights Bill due to be introduced early 2026. You’ll provide expert advice on landlord and tenant law, conduct investigations, and represent cases in court when necessary.&nbsp;
Key areas of responsibility include:&nbsp;

<li>Deliver confidential, customer-focused advice to tenants and landlords.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Prevent homelessness through legal interventions and tenancy support.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Conduct PACE interviews and prepare cases for court.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Build strong relationships with private sector landlords to improve housing standards.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Support housing initiatives and promote best practices in the private rented sector.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
About you&nbsp;
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of housing legislation and homelessness prevention, with experience working in a customer-driven, multi-disciplinary environment. They will be capable of managing a personal caseload while consistently meeting performance targets. Skilled in influencing and negotiation, legal procedures, and evidence preparation, they will also demonstrate excellent communication abilities and the capacity to build effective partnerships across agencies.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Specific requirements&nbsp;

<li>Must have a clean driving licence for use of the pool car.&nbsp;</li>
