Join Arun District Council’s Housing, Wellbeing & Communities team as a Technical Officer (Property Repairs Surveyor)

Arun District Council is looking to improve and transform its housing services and creating a better future for our residents. We are seeking a Technical Officer to lead a critical transformation within our Repairs and Maintenance service, setting a new direction and driving positive change.

We are looking for a proactive Technical Officer experienced in undertaking property surveys to identify required repairs to join our Repairs & Maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality housing services that make a real difference to our residents.

You will support the delivery of responsive and planned repairs across our housing stock, helping ensure excellent performance, value for money, and customer satisfaction. The role combines office-based work with regular site inspections, giving you variety and the opportunity to directly impact service quality.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our housing stock meets legal and regulatory requirements, while introducing best practice and innovative approaches to service delivery.

We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise, proven experience in managing housing related repairs and maintenance service and the ability to manage complex repair works as well as contractors in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident in making decisions, engaging with residents and stakeholders and delivering solutions that make a real difference.

If you are motivated by challenge and want to play a key role in shaping a modern, customer-focused repairs service, we would love to hear from you.

Why join us?

At Arun, you’ll be part of a forward-thinking organisation that values collaboration, professional development and flexible working. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
