This is a hands-on team leader role, ideal for a self-starter who thrives on driving digital transformation and operational excellence.
 About the Role As the Digital Services &amp; Systems Team Leader, you will: • &nbsp; &nbsp;Lead a team of three Business Improvement Analysts and three System Support Analysts. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Develop and maintain a forward-looking, agile business application architecture to support council services. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Contribute to ICT strategy, ensuring compliance with national and local standards. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Manage team resourcing, external partnerships and problem escalation.
Key Responsibilities • &nbsp; &nbsp;Drive digital transformation initiatives, including service design, form building, and automation. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Champion user-centred design and accessibility across all digital services. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Evaluate proposals for new systems and enhancements, prioritizing based on ROI and strategic fit. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Oversee the development of online forms using low-code platforms (e.g., Granicus govService), HTML/CSS, and API integration. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Support systems administration for both legacy and modern cloud platforms. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Plan and coordinate software rollouts, including governance, training, and change communication. • &nbsp; &nbsp;Lead the adoption and rollout of collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint and encourage their use to enhance productivity.

 Local Government Reorganisation&nbsp; Reigate and Banstead Borough Council is part of the government’s plans for Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) scheduled to take place in April 2027. This means the current two-tier system, where services are split between Surrey County Council and district and borough councils like Reigate, will be replaced with two unitary councils made up of East and West Surrey, which will handle all local services. About the Role
As an IT Technical Specialist you will report directly to the Principal Solutions Architect to successfully manage the applications within LCRCA. You will assist with the build, testing, deployment and upgrade of applications. You will provide support, guidance and escalation routes for colleagues. You will assist the Service Centre in dealing with 3rd line support and maximising the availability and performance of all applications.

About the person
The role requires an experienced IT technician with excellent technical and problem-solving skills including the ability to deploy SaaS applications and services. The role requires an individual with significant experience of liaising with 3rd parties and conducting UAT. This role will also require an individual who is flexible to manage a heavy workload whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance.&nbsp;

You will get the opportunity to contribute to the effective delivery of the Council’s Digital Strategies and improve the Customer and Employee experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and ITIL would be advantageous.
