Job Title:&nbsp;Deputy Service Manager Location:&nbsp;This residential site, located in Lewisham (South-East London) and benefits from great transport links, including convenient access to nearby train services. Kindly be aware that step free access may not be available at this service.&nbsp;
Salary:&nbsp;£35,000
Shift Pattern:&nbsp;37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 09:00 - 17:00, you may need to work outside these hours, and this role may need to work bank holidays as per service requirements. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a warm, driven and enthusiastic individual to join our Lewisham team as Deputy Service Manager (DSM). This role offers an opportunity to support and grow a trauma-informed, inclusive service for people with mental health and complex needs. You’ll work within our Integrated Community Rehabilitation Service, supporting residents who’ve been discharged from acute mental health wards starting structured rehabilitation support for 9 months in the community. The service has two community rehab services which offer 24‑hour support ensuring compassionate, around‑the‑clock care. As a DSM, you’ll line manage around 8 staff per site and will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to collaborate with probation, job centres, mental health teams and other community partners.&nbsp;
We’re looking for someone compassionate and experienced in mental health and complex needs someone who brings empathy, tailored support and real dedication to help each resident thrive. The role includes:

<li>Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle</li>
<li>Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service</li>
<li>Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed</li>
<li>Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed</li>
<li>Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management</li>
<li>Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.&nbsp;</li>

ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, particularly within mental health and complex needs and can support the team in delivering excellence. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence! Further, we look for:

<li>Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours and lead with empathy</li>
<li>You will have previous experience in creating co-produced support plans, key working, and care plans</li>
<li>Ideally previous experience in people management and development; Ability to motivate, and empower others to achieve their personal goals and overcome barriers</li>
<li>Ability to provide advice, offer practical advice and support covering housing, mental health signposting, and more to staff and residents</li>
<li>Ability to lead a team to achieve service KPI's with support and encouragement</li>
<li>Ability to show genuine empathy for residents and understand the challenges they face</li>
<li>You will need some level of IT ability as we record records using our online CRM systems and use Microsoft programs daily</li>

As an Assistant Team Manager in our Family Placement Team, you will share our commitment to improving outcomes for those children in our care, working part time (22.2 hours per week) alongside our existing managers.
You will be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, and have significant post qualifying experience working with children and families in the statutory sector. You will want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people.
You will have experience of working within the legal frameworks that support our work; with good assessment and analytical skills, and experience in completing Form F, Special Guardianship Orders and Connected Person Assessments as well as supervising and supporting our existing foster carers.
As an Assistant Team Manager, you will have a sound knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, good report writing and oral communication skills and the ability to work to court and Fostering Panel timescales.

Lead on all day-to-day operations of the historic landscape of Birkenhead Park through management of the estate management team and visitor services team, with support from Friends groups and other organisations, ensuring that the park is well-used by stakeholder groups and events, while it remains in the highest quality state of maintenance of a Grade I listed historic park, and an aspirant a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In close collaboration with the World Heritage project team, deliver and implement the key objectives as set out in Birkenhead Parks Management Plan relating to its development including income generation, landscape changes, visitor services, and planting schemes.
About the candidate:
We would like to hear from you have HNC/HND in the Park Management Sector or equivalent qualification and experience along with understanding of heritage, conservation, land management and listed garden requirements. You should have the ability to form, build and maintain strong, effective working partnerships with other Council teams, the local community and external agencies.
Also required is strong networking and stakeholder management skills including presenting reports to committee and addressing public meetings with knowledge and understanding of World Heritage Sites and their management requirements.

&nbsp; About Team/role&nbsp; The position of Senior SEN Case Officer is to ensure a small team of case officers meet our statutory duties by providing line management, case management and support and guidance on the statutory requirements of the role.&nbsp; The Senior SEN Case Officer also has a small case load of complex cases and is the allocated Case Officer for our local Alternative Provider and our local SEMH Special School.&nbsp;
The job holder will lead and support a small team of case officers to ensure that the EHC needs assessments are carried out in line with the requirements of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the 0-25 SEND Code of Practice 2015, the phase transfers are completed by the statutory deadline of 31 March and that there is a plan in place to tackle high priority annual reviews.&nbsp; Attendance at regular meetings of SEND Panel and other decision-making meetings is part of this role.&nbsp; You will need to be experienced enough to quality assure draft EHC Plans written by team members before they are sent out to parents and to provide information and instructions to the Joint Legal Team on Tribunal cases they are handling on behalf of the team.&nbsp; Attendance at Next Steps Meetings and Mediation Meetings are also part of this role.&nbsp;

About the RoleWe currently have opportunities for full time (37.5 hours per week) and part time (15 &amp; 22.5 &amp; 30 hours per week) Care Assistants to work within our registered care home, Litslade Farm (in Newton Longville), where we support people with learning disabilities.Working as part of a dedicated team, you’ll support service users with their day to day needs to enable individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives. This will involve assisting individuals with:<ul>

<li>mealtimes and social activities</li>
<li>attending appointments and maintaining their health and well-being</li>
<li>promoting skills and involvement including shopping and domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning</li>

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our SEND team.&nbsp;
As the Senior SEN Resolution Lead, you will take the lead on dispute resolution and represent the Local Authority in SEND Tribunal cases. You will oversee the statutory assessment, placement, and monitoring of pupils with special educational needs, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and statutory deadlines. A key part of your role will be supervising and supporting SEN Case Officers and Assistant Case Officers, while also managing complex casework and contributing to the development of high-quality, outcome-focused EHCPs.&nbsp;
In addition, you will analyse trends in appeals and develop strategies to reduce escalation, working closely with legal teams and stakeholders. You will play a strategic role in SEN planning, offering expert advice and ensuring best practices are followed. A vital aspect of the role includes delivering training and sharing specialist SEND knowledge with schools, education providers, and partner organisations to build capacity and improve outcomes across the borough.&nbsp;
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, and at least two years’ experience managing a SEN caseload. You will have a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the SEND Tribunal process, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and mediation skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to lead, supervise, and manage complex casework, and will bring a collaborative, person-centred approach to working with families, schools, and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.&nbsp;
