An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Enfield Trading Standards. We are recruiting a Fair Trading/Trading Standards Officer(s) to help support and deliver on our Council Priorities. As a Council, we are committed to improving our Borough for our residents, businesses, and visitors. 
Working within a small team, the post holder will be expected to undertake the full range of trading standards duties. This will involve the investigation of complaints and preparation of criminal prosecution files across all trading standards disciplines including rogue traders, product safety; fair trading; vapes; age related sales, intellectual property; and metrology control (where qualified). 
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience 
IT skills-you need to be confident in using computer systems, including MS Office software are essential. 
Customer care-you will have the ability to deal sensitively with residents, businesses, councillors, and other statutory bodies with the highest standard of customer care in potentially confrontational situations. 
Social competence-you have excellent people skills and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and conflict resolution. You must be able to communicate clearly and concisely. 
Qualification- You must hold the DCATS or equivalent qualification relating to Trading Standards.

Hertsmere Borough Council is looking for a Legal Assistant to provide an efficient, high quality and comprehensive clerical and administrative support to their small and supportive Legal team.&nbsp; The post holder will also manage the web content for Legal Services.
Essential requirements for the role include education to A-Level standard, with good Maths and English GCSEs.&nbsp; The successful recruit will also have experience of complex administrative work in a busy office environment, and handling confidential information.&nbsp; Excellent customer service and communication skills will be important in this post, as will legal research and analysis, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
The post is offered on a part time, permanent basis (20 hours per week).
