What’s the role?
Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint an Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader to manage a team of six Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Officers responsible for offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 duties. Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach to our applicants eligible for homelessness assistance and continuous improvement and efficiency in the service delivery. In addition, you will ensure officers complete S208, enforce offer of suitable accommodation, correctly undertake the discharge of duty and complete all other tasks relevant to their role.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader with a good working knowledge of managing a team responsible for offering accommodation under S188 and S193, Part 6 &amp; 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 and Localism Act 2011 and its application. You must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved in offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 as well as issuing discharge of duty decisions.

About the role
We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Worker who has a specialism in complex mental health and substance misuse to join our team in Croydon. This is a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. You will utilise your previous experience and knowledge, and provide specialist support to those who have been diagnosed with mental ill health and have challenges with substance use. You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills.
Within this role, you will act as a specialist for comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of the duties may include:
<ul>
<li>Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.</li>
<li>Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.</li>
<li>Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.</li>
<li>Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.</li>
<li>Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.&nbsp;</li>

About you
We’re looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with previous experience in a similar role. We look at individual characteristics to be able to show resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive in your approach. You will have a passion for supporting people to achieve their personal goals, and achieve positive outcomes, this includes having the ability to engage with people who may be hard to reach and engage with. We further are looking for someone who has:
<ul>
<li>An appropriate qualification which is relevant to the role which could include: National Diploma, Bachelors, or master’s in psychology, Dual Diagnosis, Substance Misuse or any relevant</li>
<li>Previous experience in a similar role, providing holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental health challenges</li>
<li>Applied knowledge of the principles of risk assessment and risk management, particularly in relation to harm minimisation.</li>
<li>A commitment to promoting recovery, harm reduction, and active involvement in care planning.</li>
<li>Ability to apply relapse prevention models to promote sustained recovery and harm reduction.</li>

As our Contract and Services Officer (Sport), you’ll be at the heart of delivering vibrant, accessible, and high-quality outdoor recreation services across Southwark.Working alongside our Outdoor Recreation Manager, you'll help manage the contracts, service agreements and operational plans that keep our parks, pitches and sports facilities running smoothly. From nurturing strong partnerships with local sports clubs and contractors, to ensuring our sites are safe, inclusive and fit for purpose — your work will have a direct impact on the wellbeing of our communities.In this dynamic role, you’ll:<ul><li>Build strong relationships with sports ground tenants, local clubs, internal teams and contractors</li><li>Monitor and administer service level agreements and third-party contracts</li><li>Support the development of tailored operational plans for each site</li><li>Oversee both routine and reactive maintenance across our facilities</li><li>Help shape fair and sustainable agreements with community sports partners</li></ul>You’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, playing a key role in maintaining Southwark’s reputation as one of London’s leading boroughs for sport and outdoor recreation.<h4>What We're Looking For</h4>We’re looking for someone who shares our belief in the power of sport to bring people together, support wellbeing, and strengthen communities.You’ll be a motivated and hands-on professional with a passion for high-quality service and accessible outdoor spaces.
