<h2>Job introduction</h2>You can also see our full list of employee benefits on our careers site here: <a href="https://www.westnorthants.gov.uk/jobs-and-careers/why-you-should-work-us" target="_blank">Why you should work for us | West Northamptonshire Council</a>.<h2>About the role</h2>West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) are looking for a confident and proactive person to join the Property Services team as a Maintenance Officer.This role will cover WNC’s corporate properties including One Angel Square, Guildhall and County Hall, with the majority of time being spent at One Angel Square. &nbsp;You will need to be enthusiastic, people focused and happy to work on your own initiative with an ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. You will work within a close knit team of 4, who work together to ensure the Corporate Buildings are maintained and operate safely and effectively.Previous Facilities Management experience desirable but not essential.&nbsp;A full clean driving licence is essential.Main responsibilities/duties include:<ul>
<li>Attending reactive call outs to deal with various Hard / Soft Facilities Management tasks such as carrying out minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs.</li>
<li>Inspecting and maintaining the plant equipment, calling out contractors where required.</li>
<li>Administration duties utilising Word, Excel and Outlook as well as internal CAFM systems.</li>
<li>Supervising and assisting Contractors on jobs.</li>
<li>Carrying out inspections and completing Checklists.</li>
<li>Following and monitoring Health and Safety processes.</li>
</ul>&nbsp;The role will be working 37 hours a week, Monday - Thurs 10am-6pm &amp; Fri 10am - 5.30pm with very occasional out of hours work.<h2>Company information</h2>At West Northants Council, it’s about our people.
