We are looking to appoint an Estates Surveyor to join Pendle Council’s Property &amp; Engineering Services team. In this pivotal role, you will provide a professional valuation and surveying service and support managing a diverse range of council-owned land and properties.
The Role

<li>Undertake valuations, disposals, and acquisitions of land and property in line with the Council’s objectives.</li>
<li>Manage Council-owned industrial estates, shops, offices, and commercial premises, ensuring effective marketing and maximum revenue generation.</li>

About You

<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital, along with the ability to plan, organise, and meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Experience in working effectively within a political environment or familiarity with CPO and Landlord &amp; Tenant legislation is desirable.</li>

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive&nbsp;Senior Programme Management Officer&nbsp;to lead the Programme Management Office for our Health and Universal Free School Meals (UFSM) team. This is a high-impact role that calls for a sharp eye for detail, strong leadership, and a passion for driving results in a complex, fast-paced environment. Working with&nbsp;multiple stakeholders internal and external.
While each team has its distinct focus, your oversight will ensure smooth programme delivery and unlock opportunities for strategic cross-team collaboration between Health and UFSM.
Your role will be to provide project oversight and forward planning for the Team’s corporate responsibilities, including corporate performance reporting and other corporate returns and briefings, working closely with the Senior Managers and with the Business Support team.
This role offers the opportunity to shape delivery on a programme that directly supports the wellbeing of Londoners. If you are an experienced programme manager with excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and quality, experienced in PMO systems and leading teams – we want to hear from you.

Hertsmere Borough Council are looking for HGV Driver/Loaders, to join our efficient street cleansing, waste and recycling collection service within and around Hertsmere.
The job involves driving a HGV refuse collection vehicle, being responsible for routine inspections, maintenance and cleansing of the vehicle.&nbsp; As part of the role you will complete all necessary paperwork and lead and also assist a small team involved in the collection of refuse.&nbsp;

To apply you will need to have at least 1 years’ experience in a HGV driving role, &nbsp;you will have proven experience of manual handling and be capable of walking long distances and pulling and emptying refuse bins when required.

This post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week) with opportunities for overtime. &nbsp;

Job Title: Waste Supervisor Starting Salary: £40,043 progressing to £43,763 Hours: 40.0 Location: Hertfordshire Contract Type: Permanent Directorate: Growth &amp; Environment<h4>About the team</h4>As part of the Waste Management Unit, fulfilling the statutory duties of a waste disposal authority, the Recycling Centre service in Hertfordshire receives c1.5million visitors each year and handles c80,000 tonnes of household waste across a network of 16 Recycling Centres.<h4>About the role</h4>As an experienced leader in managing and motivating remote teams to achieve exceptional results and high levels of customer service, you will oversee Recycling Centres in accordance with Health and Safety, Waste industry (EA), and other relevant legislations. Working within a small team dedicated to the Recycling Centre service, you will continuously improve this essential service for the residents of Hertfordshire.In this role, you will ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including Environmental and Health &amp; Safety requirements, while promoting continuous improvement in customer service, recycling performance, waste reduction, and reuse initiatives. You will travel around the county, providing visible leadership to remote teams and conducting frequent inspections related to service provision and compliance. Your responsibilities will include engaging with members of the public in person, over the phone, and through written communications, investigating accidents, incidents, complaints, and customer inquiries to provide thorough and reasoned responses and resolutions. Part of this role includes challenging service users who may be fraudulently accessing free public services at the expense of taxpayers and make informed, evidence-based decisions regarding service provision on weekends on behalf of senior management. Using initiative and creativity, you will solve complex problems within the framework of applicable legislation and council policy. Additionally, you will be responsible for the effective maintenance of infrastructure, plant, and machinery at recycling centres, ensuring clear and effective communication with contractors to maintain continuous service delivery. You will also identify needs and place orders for goods and services related to the service, managing goods receipting for invoice payment approval.<h4>About you</h4>As someone engaged in ensuring a compliant and positive working environment across a diverse and dispersed front line team everyday will present different challenges.
