Charnwood Borough Council’s Housing Repairs team are looking for a qualified Plumber to carry out a wide range of plumbing work and repairs associated with the maintenance and adaptation of social housing, Council properties and public buildings.
You must have NVQ Level 2 or City &amp; Guilds in Plumbing or equivalent, as well as the ability and desire to deliver high quality customer standards in line with the Council’s customer service excellence standard.
The role is permanent and will include participation in the out-of-hours call-out service.&nbsp; A full clean driving licence is essential, and a van is supplied for Charnwood business use only.&nbsp; Tools and uniform are also provided.

We experience high levels of demand and have a very busy duty function. The team is staffed by a mix of social workers, senior assessment and enablement workers, assessment and enablement workers, community support workers and business support officers. The principals in the team are responsible for managing the duty function on a rota basis, screening all safeguarding referrals and proactively supporting the duty workers. They also manage the referrals waiting for allocation, prioritising and managing risk and allocate to staff. They offer front line supervision to the assessment staff including induction, Me Time, performance management, absence management and case monitoring and discussion. All decisions about care act eligibility, need for formal support, increases or decreases in care are ratified and discussed with a principal before relevant escalation.The principals are also responsible for the auditing of staff’s work on a person-by-person basis but also more formal caseload audits. They are an essential part of the overall performance of the team and the wellbeing of its staff and are themselves line managed by the team manager. The current management group is well established and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic qualified social worker who is ready to become a manager. The governors and Head Teacher are looking to appoint a highly motivated cleaner who takes pride in our school environment, to join our school team. The main responsibilities of the role would be to clean specific areas and work as part of the cleaning team.
The job will entail cleaning of classrooms, offices, toilets, staff rooms and common areas. Hours are after the children have gone home 15:15 to 17:15 each day. Contract is for 42 weeks per year (38 school weeks, 1 week inset days &amp; 3 weeks holiday cleans).
A professional and discreet approach when dealing with pupils, staff, governors, and visitors to the school is required.&nbsp;Whilst previous experience of working in a school setting and / or cleaning could be an advantage, it is not a prerequisite.

About the role…
As a Transport Officer, you will support the planning, commissioning, and monitoring of local bus services, home-to-school transport, and social care transport for both adults and children. You will also help administer the concessionary travel scheme and work closely with transport providers, schools, local residents and internal teams to ensure services are efficient, accessible, and responsive to community needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
