Reports to: Site Manager
Hours: Part time, 10 hours per week
2 positions available with working hours of 6.00am –8.00am Monday to Friday or
3.30pm – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,614 FTE (actual salary £6,922.70 based on 10 hours per week)
Main Purpose of the Job:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all pupils, staff, and visitors at St Margarets CE Primary School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitise designated areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Perform daily cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins.
- Ensure all cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and used efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Site Manager.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Person Specification Qualifications and Training:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is desirable but not essential.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices related to cleaning.
Personal Qualities:
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
