The roles are based within the Culture, Creative Industries and 24-Hour London Unit at the Greater London Authority. The Unit delivers the Mayor’s Culture Strategy for London, supporting an exciting, world-leading city of inspiration and opportunities for everyone. We do this through a wide range of programmes that support the arts and creative industries to grow and be accessible to all, and the capital to become the number one destination for 24-hour culture and entertainment. The Space for Culture team is part of the Culture, Creative Industries and 24-Hour London unit. From production and performance spaces to public realm projects, from protecting spaces at risk to creating opportunities for new spaces, we work to strengthen our city’s identity as a rich, diverse and multifaceted cultural capital.

Use of data and evidence to make compelling cases would be advantageous.
Senior Policy Officer, Creative Enterprise Zones
As Senior Policy Officer, Creative Enterprise Zones you will develop and implement the Mayor's policies and plans for Creative Enterprise Zones, as outlined in the Mayor's Cultural Strategy, the London Plan, and London Growth Plan.
Creative Enterprise Zones (CEZ) launched in 2017 to increase permanent affordable creative space to work, provide business support, and improve access for Londoners to learn creative sector skills and find new jobs in the industry. You will lead on the delivery of Creative Enterprise Zones, working in partnership with borough partners and consortia and across the GLA to develop and implement this ambitious and innovative policy.

Senior Policy Officer, Cultural Infrastructure

<li>Enable new cultural space development by supporting the development and delivery of strategic cultural spaces identified through manifesto commitments, mandates and the Space Register.</li>
<li>Ensure delivery of programmes and tools which support the Cultural Infrastructure Plan objectives to retain and grow London’s cultural spaces. This may include developing new tools, research and resources.</li>
<li>Engage with stakeholders to support the integration of cultural space within new development identified within masterplans, Opportunity Areas and GLA Housing and Land projects.</li>
<li>Engage with planning policy and development management functions to support the delivery of cultural space including the Space Register. Provide advice and contribute to planning applications and planning policy related to the work you are delivering.</li>

Senior Policy Officer, Creative Enterprise Zones

<li>Establish, develop and maintain effective networks and relationships with external bodies to ensure agreed objectives for CEZ are achieved in line with the Mayor's priorities and the statutory cultural strategy, including in particular boroughs, CEZ consortia, creative SME representatives and artist stakeholders.</li>
<li>Develop and manage regular Knowledge Exchange Forums or other information exchange platforms to keep partners and external stakeholders involved in the development of the programme.</li>
<li>Maintain an up-to-date awareness of new developments, relevant legislative and national policy changes, national and international initiatives and best practice that could have an impact on the development of Creative Enterprise Zones.</li>

About the role
We’re offering an exciting secondment opportunity for an experienced information governance professional to join our small but ambitious Office for Public Service Innovation (OPSI) team. This new role provides the chance to shape how the Liverpool City Region approaches information governance. The post holder will support data sharing between organisations to enable public service innovation, better decision making and improved outcomes.
This role is about more than ensuring compliance. It’s about helping teams feel confident in their ability to gain new insights from data, share data safely and purposefully. This role will help to deliver a balanced approach to innovation as set out in our Community Charter on Data and AI.
Our user research has highlighted several barriers to effective use and sharing of data including difficulties in data discovery, real or perceived legislative barriers, a lack of confidence among non-specialists, and a disproportionate burden of responsibility and risk falling on individual information governance leads or data protection officers. The post holder will play a key role to shaping the City Region’s response to these challenges.
About the Office for Public Service Innovation
OPSI aims to equip, enable and empower public services in the Liverpool City Region to collaborate, innovate and deliver more effective services.
We will do this by harnessing and enhancing good work already happening, while also embedding a test, learn and grow culture to tackling persistent, unsolved challenges in the City Region. This approach aims to improve outcomes for our 1.6 million residents through improved collaboration, use of data and AI, and community involvement in service design.
Key responsibilities
As Information Governance Manager, you will:
<ul>
<li>- Lead the creation, coordination, signing and management of Liverpool City Region data sharing agreements that involve councils, police, fire, health and other agencies.</li>
<li>- Coach and support partners to build confidence in information governance, helping teams to understand and apply best practices.</li>
<li>- Create positive relationships across a range of organisations at senior and practitioner level, ensuring support for and engagement with information governance working groups and related projects.</li>
<li>- Provide expert advice to the Combined Authority and other partners on existing and proposed Liverpool City Region data sharing agreements, their scope, content, basis and other data protection factors, undertaking research as necessary.</li>
<li>- Draft and review data sharing agreements and data protection impact assessments, undertaking detailed negotiations with third parties.</li>
<li>- Work with Government officials to identify regulatory barriers to data sharing and develop new legal gateways to address these</li>
<li>- Horizon scan for new projects and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and innovation.</li>

Trading Standards Officer
About the Role: 
As a Trading Standards Officer you will be required to carry out the full range of statutory trading standards enforcement duties, depending on qualifications and competency, in relation to weights and measures, food standards, intellectual property, fair trading law, consumer product safety, credit, feeding stuffs and fertilisers, doorstep crime and underage sales.
You will carry out criminal compliance enforcement activities across the regulatory service functions whilst working within a generic team carrying out inspections, projects, and investigations into complex and serious breaches of trading standards legislation, identify legal contraventions and select, recommend and execute appropriate enforcement activity based on assessed risk.
You will have sole responsibility for undertaking this work and the duties will include presenting solutions to bring a resolution to complex issues.
About the candidate:
We would like to hear from you if you have the relevant experience to comply with the training, qualifications and competence requirements and you must hold the following qualification:

<li>Professional CTSI qualification: Diploma in Trading Standards (DTS) or its equivalent Weights and Measures and Food Standards modules are essential for this role.</li>
