You will be at the heart of local government, playing a key role in supporting the council’s decision-making processes. You will be working at the heart of the council in the Democratic and Registration Services division which encompasses three teams working closely with colleagues at all levels across the organisation.
The Democratic Services team works closely with councillors, colleagues throughout the council and external partners to ensure that decision making is timely and in accordance with the council’s Constitution as well as being clear and transparent to the residents of Bracknell Forest.

Principal Accountabilities
Support the Assembly’s committees and their teams to carry out effective investigations into issues of importance to Londoners, including by:
Conducting research and analysis in support of Assembly investigations.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Produce accurate, timely and effective contributions to Committee briefings and outputs, including leading the production of briefing and outputs where appropriate;
Maintain regular research / monitoring systems for topical press reports and GLA policy developments;
Ensuring the accuracy of committee investigation outputs on behalf of the team by conducting detailed proofreading and fact checking;

We are breaking new ground and looking to appoint our first ever Chief AI Officer. Someone who will be at the forefront of revolutionising the Liverpool City Region’s AI Landscape.
You’ll play a key role in shaping the Liverpool City Region’s digital future - helping us harness the power of artificial intelligence to improve public services, support communities, and unlock economic growth.
This is your opportunity to lead transformational work across sectors including health, transport and education with a strong emphasis on ethical, inclusive and forward-thinking AI. You’ll champion digital upskilling, drive innovation, and shape policy that puts people first. 
What you’ll be actively doing in this exciting role:

<li>Leading the City Region’s AI strategy and embedding it in our digital transformation goals.</li>
<li>Advocating for ethical AI practices, data privacy and inclusive technology.</li>
<li>Developing strategic partnerships at local, national and international level.</li>
<li>Representing LCRCA in forums and roundtables on the future of AI.</li>
<li>Guiding teams and collaborating with the LCRCA AI Task Force.</li>
<li>Supporting workforce development and skills programmes.</li>
<li>Ensuring all initiatives align with our purpose-driven values and priorities.

About you &amp; your background:
You’ll bring both strategic vision and deep technical expertise. We’re looking for someone who can see the bigger picture and influence change across systems while also connecting with people and getting things done.

<li>Proven experience leading AI transformation at a senior level.</li>
<li>Strong technical background in AI, Data Science, or a related field.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and influencing skills.</li>
<li>A collaborative mindset and ability to bring partners together.</li>
<li>A passion for public sector impact and inclusive innovation.
